Hi, everyone....Alain mentioned (back when "Core" was only one weekend) that there were a few exercises, taking 15 min. per day, that were necessary to keep the skills alive from those learned in the course. Does anyone have an idea what those are? Thanks in advance.
Hi I don't remember that the exercises have to be done on a daily bases to keep the core skills. They don't vanish all over night. That said I do every day stretching exercises with core and it makes me more supple what is a lot of fun. Do you have the handout from the workshop? If not ask QT headquarter for a copy maybe they will send you a new one.

The exercises are not "required" to maintain your ability. They further the understanding of flow and when done regularly help with the over all health of the body. Beyond this they open opportunities for further self exploration.
The exercises in question are the one we do in the class and any other personal exercises you may already do. Simply use any existing exercises in combination with the flows present and the Core breath in particular and you will be "practicing" the proper exercises.

Hi, Alain...great for you to answer. Excellent...understood, but when you say "with the flows present", you are referring to whatever flows I feel present in the body (?) Thanks in advance.
Thanks, Einar....I do remember that whatever the exercises were, they included or were done with the core breathing, but I thought that a standing Qigong meditation was somehow included (?). Any recollection. Might have been something spontaneously taught and not on a handout
Hi again I do remember the Qigong exercise but I can't describe it. It has something to do with a tree and harnessing the energy from it, hope that's right. If you go into the core point and feel the 5 diaphragm at once you will be able to feel the flow that's what I experience. Best done with grounding and dropping the sacrum. In case you you can't feel or are unsure about 5 diaphragm at once try them one by one first than progress to feel them all.
hope that helps

Yes it is in the handout. It is a small paragraph because it is an extremely simple form.
I am referring to the flows created by the combination of the Core breath and the movement itself. Remember, always open to the flows created by the breath work and then move.

thanks both to you, Einar and Alain...I'm on my way, having to rekindle/clarify some of the terms as taught back then, but the concepts and teachings are familiar. I do Core breathing often in combination with other movements and techniques, but the "waiting" is a crucial part, stopping the urge to push or yang your way through, "making it happen", instead "watching it happen"....so many doors opened with that one!! Later, and (hopefully) soon.
