hello everybody,

i learned from the core dvds so far that the core breath opens you up: that's where the healing capacity comes from, as far as i know.

people speak about doing core breath while walking or whatever.

But what does this do to you when e.g.
a. the weather is cold and rainly
b. you are already a bit sick in the throat area
c. the neighbours living above produce a negative energy in respect to noise

i currently suspect that:

a. doing core breath situation a. (eg practise in the train and then go out into the cold/rain) could make you more prone to catch a cold ..

b. core breath in situation b. seems to slightly aggrevate the bad feeling (like eating sugar can do that in that kind of situation

qigong has a different effect in situation b. up to several hours after qigong class the sickness symptoms are almost gone. Should i avoid core breath when i am weakened?

c. I am not sure about situation c.

This situation with the neighbours is getting increasingly bothering and I wonder what effect my energy practise in this noise has on me. I want to practise a lot because i have supercharging end of feb and core 1 in april.

==Before i just thought that what I personally THINK about the noise is affecting me most.
So if i can change the thoughts, no problem anymore==

Now i worry that when I open up onder bad conditions, i actually open the door for this negative vibe to come inside and affect me .. or is this a bit over the top?

-could i (and should I) do core practise with earplugs? and reverse aging and emotional healing? will ask my chi kung teacher about CK practise under these conditions.

any personal insights/experiences?
Thanks!

Arjan

Hi Arjan
I sense a lot of fear you are having about doing core. Until now I have never experienced anything negative whiles doing core.
When doing core I'm calm and the environment has no influence on me what so ever and I start to perceive the environment differently.
Core is a lot of fun.

hi einar,

thanks for your quick response.

i like the core techniques a lot: with my kind of physical problems this melting appraoch is the way to go (and i also already have success by just practising the core breath!)

just wondering/slightly concerned about how 'opening up under suboptimal conditions' might affect you.

Hi Arjan

I agree with Einar.

When doing core work I have never picked anything up either. You may even find your neighbours entrain to the quietness of the core feeling and make less noise!

Also don't worry about needing to do lots of practice before taking the supercharging and core workshops. I was in the same position as you this time last year, taking supercharging in February and Core 1 in April. I tried to practice as much as possible and worried whether the courses may be too close together or too soon etc. but the instructors are wonderful and you get all the time you need to learn and practice the techniques within the weekend.

Enjoy!

Arjan, Core work is about opening on an inner level, opening to more of yourself. You seem to be thinking more from a qigong perspective, where you are gathering energy and bringing it in. With the Core work, you aren't gathering anything, your are releasing tensions and removing restrictions. You are opening yourself to the overall flow of the universe, but because you aren't trying to collect and hold it you don't pick up the negative stuff. It's when you try to block things and hold things that "stuff" sticks. If you are completely "you", and open to the flow, then you don't have to worry. That's always the answer with the Core work--be more "you", and open!
