I don't know how to do Core but i'm thinking that it might work better (i've had it done for me quite a bit) is because like Alain said in his book, people prefer a gentler more respectful way of transfering energy rather than a pushing or force.

i was also thinking about pain. I think if an area pains me or other people i back off from that area and go to an area that doesn't pain me or them as much and work from there. Pain, whether it's emotional or physical- is best to be avoided, i think. Like, i get a lot of painful images in my mind a day and to heal them i back off from imagining the same image, but i work with instead imagining my head being clear of that painful image. So, therefore, i believe "chasing the pain" has to be used with caution. I feel if it's too painful, many people shouldn't have to deal with that pain and working from a less painful area will cause healing for the most amount of people the fastest, more long term, and less of a shock to the system. what do you think?

When working on pain for a client/healer, we are not focusing on the pain. The intention and focus is on wellness, health, peace, gratitude and joy. By focusing attention on "pain" we are giving it our thought, and energy follows thought. Focusing on and thinking about wellness, wholeness and peace shifts the energy away from pain and up to an entirely higher level.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Ali! That's what i meant, although it didn't seem clear to me at first. I thought healing meant facing the pain. But i think that's dangerous. I wanted to discuss this concept, thanks for your insight! Smiler

"Chasing the pain" is a way of knowing WHERE to work on the body...as sometimes the healing energy will give MOMENTARY pain in the area that it is actually healing...so we move to that area to give stronger energy to increase and speed up the healing. Thus, it actually decreases the pain faster.

Whenever my client says that it is hurting worse, I tell him or her to ride the pain for a minute or so and it will disappear. That is when I get the best healings.

Not everyone who heals feels more pain...but when it occurs...KNOW THAT HEALING IS NOW TAKING PLACE. Do not run from it. Ride it out and allow the healing to complete!

Hey Winder. Thanks! i'm sure that momentary pain is ok. But pain that lasts for a while, i don't think that's ok. Like if someone is crying for 5 minutes, or if someone feels like a knife is stabbing him, etc. i don't think people should ride out the pain. I think the pain would be better taken away from some other less painful point. I'm trying to pinpoint the difference between a small amount of pain and a lot.

I think the amount and degree of pain that's bearable or necessary is individual. I worked on one woman who told me she might have trouble being still for the allotted time because she has ADD. I told her to feel free to let me know when she'd had enough. She was able to be still for the entire session. Another woman at a health fair said she had depression. I let her know that she might feel like crying and asked her to decide beforehand if that would be okay with her in that setting. I worked on another woman who sobbed deeply for about 20 minutes. That was her choice, she asked for it strongly upfront. I felt with another woman that I should offer more gently. She experienced healing as well. Sometimes people aren't aware of the emotional issue, they just know they have it and are able to rid themselves without knowing the cause, facing the pain/experience. It's different for different people at different times.
