Hi, Alain - The Core 2 class sounds really exciting! I'd love to be able to better focus in on the core emotional blocks involved in a client's challenge. I'm waiting for the video of Core 1 to come out so I can review it before taking Core 2. (Also waiting for it to come to the East Coast!) I've been working from the Core "point" a fair amount (love the way it feels to be in that space!), but primarily using it with techniques I was already familiar with. (Although I realize you don't need to be visual to do the techniques, I think it's harder to do them with confidence if you're not, which is why I think I ended up not using them enough with my clients to really get them down.) I need to review all the various Core techniques. Other than holding a focus at the core point, which of the other techniques are the main foundation on which the new techniques are based?

Mostly wombing and finding a flow in two directions through the body, as well as some new approaches.

It is interesting that you feel the need to have visuals as a feedback mechanism rather than using feeling, which is more natural to you. I often ride flows that are mostly kinesthetic and then let images come (if they appear at all).

Let yourself explore what feelings/kinesthetic awarenesses are yours when working from the core perspective. From here start to experiment with how you relate to these "feelings" etc. This should lead you to a personal comfort zone.

Keep us in the loop how this is progressing for you. Smiler

Thank you, Alain. I have been realizing lately that, even though consciously I know better, there is a part of me that's frequently whispering in the background devaluing anything I know how to do in favor of anything I don't know how to do. I guess it's the Woody Allen Syndrome: "I would't be a member of any club that would have me!" Big Grin

Hi Jocelyn and Alain:
Hey Jocelyn, I'm finding increasingly that my work with pure intentionality is the most powerful ally to most of my healing work (playing with working from the Core point included), and there's usually no visualization involved at all.

While I think there's a "right way" to access the Core point and facilitate the opening/unwinding/ unravelling, and Alain's and Jody's techniques are fabulous (looking forward to Core II as well!), I also believe exploring that space has many new fruits to offer, some of which your own gifts and strengths will be ideally suited for.

Blessings,
Alfred

Alfred, you are most definitely correct! That's what's fun about this work--exploring and seeing what you discover. Enjoy!

Thank you for the above answer to Jocelyn's question.

When I was in the Sept 06 CT workshop, I got attached to seeing something in the wombing process, rather than feeling for it. I've stopped "seeing" interesting things and was beginning to believe I had lost connection with the CT point we learned. It seems to be different everytime I go in to find it. At times I can feel it or see it and then at other times nothing. When I don't see or feel anything I continue with the wombing anyway, as though I was seeing or feeling it and it appears to work just fine.
