Sometimes I feel like I am so deep in CT that it is almost like sleeping but not quite? What brainwave state do think CT takes you into? Just wondering.

Thanks
Steve

Steve,

Once again we are on the same wave length. Smiler Let me explain.

Yesterday morning, I was coming out of my sleep still in that "twilight sleep" when I started running Core on my shoulder. It was so strong and the colors it produced were awesome. I had an AHA moment Big Grin

Last night, I was listening to Lynne McTaggart's lecture at the Prophet Conference, and she mentioned this very subject. (Look under Off Topics, free listening to the conference with all speakers) When we are in the Alpha waves it is when the most powerful waves are produced, same waves as light sleep. Beta, comes with deeper waves and are produced with drums, such as deeper sleep.

Many Blessings

Cool Mhari. I felt like I was in Theta/Delta. Found this on brain wave states:

Beta (13Hz - 40Hz) - Highly alert and well focused. Beta activity is quick-connect, fast activity. Typically detected frontally, It is usually seen on both sides of the brain in geometric distribution. It may be
absent or reduced in areas of brain damage. It is generally
regarded as a normal rhythm and tends to be the dominant
rhythm in those who are alert, anxious or have their eyes open.

Alpha (8Hz -13Hz) - Relaxed alertness. Alpha is usually best detected in the frontal regions of the head, on each side of the brain. Its presence is increased by closing the eyes and relaxation, yet is offset by opening one's eyes or any concentrated effort.
Alpha is the major rhythm seen in normal relaxed adults.
Typically this rate is established as the common relaxation
mode beyond the age of 13.

Theta (4Hz - 8Hz) - Drowsiness, daydreaming - first stage of sleep; or 'indirect' imagination/thinking. Theta activity is not often
seen in awake adults but is perfectly normal in alert
children up to 13 years and in most sleep.
Delta () - 4Hz) - Deep sleep or slow-wave 'background' thinking. Much like bass sound, Delta tends to be the highest in
amplitude and the slowest waves. It is quite normal and is
the dominant rhythm in infants up to one year and
in the stages 3 and 4 of deep dreamless sleep.

Hi, Guys -

I'm sure we go in and out of many brainwave states in healing - I once read a fascinating book by Anna Wise ("Awakening the Mind"), who has done a lot of study and researching of brainwave states.

She makes the point that Alpha is actually a quite common state - that if you watch TV, you go into an Alpha state (probably why watching TV really is like being hypnotized!). Its specific role, she says, is as a transitional state - e.g., dreams are associated primarily with Theta states - but if you wake up suddenly from a dream, say, because of an alarm going off, you won't remember it - however, if you have a little bit of time in the twilight state, you'll actually be in the transitional Alpha state and therefore the memory of the dream will carry over from the Theta dream state.

As Steve points out, Beta is the (very important!) state of normal consciousness.

Delta, according to Anna Wise, is associated not only with sleep, but with being in a deep healing state. Here's a quote from her book:

" Strong delta brain waves are seen consistently among healers and especially masters practicing the healing arts. I have been involved in all aspects of healing for more than twenty-five years and have had the opportunity to study the brain waves of healers in Europe, North and South America, and Asia in a large varieties of situations using many different modalities.... the most consistent similarity among all of the healers was the production of delta waves while practicing their art."

Like Norm Shealy said - QT turns us all into world class healers! (And he didn't even get a chance to experiment with Supercharging and Core...)

If you've done hypnosis/hypnotherapy and ever had a client go into a spontaneous abreaction, you know with no uncertainty whatsoever that the hypnogogic state has no particular brainwave pattern associated with it. Bypass of the Critical Factor and the acceptance of reasonable suggestion pretty much defines the state. A person can be in an extremely deep trance state and yet have their eyes fully open and be interacting with the operator of the session.

Just sayin'. Carry on. Smiler

Okay, scratch that part Wink - That was my own untutored observation in any case, not Wise's!

I heard that somebody in the Netherlands had someone moniter the brainwaves of everyone in the room while QT was being done, and everyone entrained to Delta waves. The person doing it said it was very unusual for this to happen. I don't remember if it was Core or Basic QT (but I think it was both). Can we get more info from anyone in the Netherlands? Linda, Yolanda, Gerda....???

I feel the in and out of dream state/delta or theta state with both basic QT and Core, especially on the longer sessions. Thanks Jody, that pretty much confirms it for me.

I think the key is what Wise said about this happening especially among "master healers" - which I think QTrs become exceedingly rapidly!
