Sometimes during core work I seem to run out of oxygen, and revert to CT/SC breathing for maybe twenty seconds. At first I thought it would be detrimental to the session, but it seems to blend in to the work in a seamless way. Has any one had a similar experience. Thanks for your help.

First of all, I assume you meant "QT/SC breathing". By this, are you referring to the rate of breath, or the actual sweep and breath, with send the energy on the exhale?

If you feel like you're running out of air when you're doing the Core breath, then by all means, increase your rate of breath until you find where you can be comfortable. The most important thing is to have a relaxed breath, and to be in the Core spot. The slower the breath is, the more quiet it creates and the more time you have to find change and opening with whatever technique your using.

I often start my breath at a moderate rate, and gradually find my comfort with a slower rate as I work. As it becomes almost meditative, it becomes easier. But if you're feeling out of breath, it is too slow.

If you are sending the energy, instead of staying in the Core spot and letting everything come to you, then you are not doing Core techniques. It can still be effective, just different.

Thanks Jody for the quick response. Yes, I did mean QT. I'm not the best typist. I'm going to try your approach of starting with moderate breathing and gradually slow as the session progresses. Thanks again.

Also - wasn't sure if you mean you do QT/SC breathing & sweeping for a time - if you do - Richard Gordon talks about how alternating Core with the QT breathing & sweeping is a great way to work. I often work that way.

Jocelyn,
Yes, I do QT/SC breathing and sweeping for maybe three breaths, then return to the Core. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it simply feels right. I also speculated that during these occasions it might be the client/healer asking for the energy. Thanks for your insights.
