Hi All!
First, much thanks to QT Admin for setting up the two new forums on SC ad CT! Now to my question. If one has done the live Basic Workshop and watched the Supercharging DVD's, should you first take the live SC workshop to learn more about how you can personally optimize your energy flow or can you go right to the live CT workshop? What would be the best thing to do? Thanks! Jo-Ann "The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it." Chinese Proverb. |

Because the techniques in the Supercharging and the Core Transformation are so different, there's no requirement to take one before the other. However if you want to deepen your understanding of what you learned from the Supercharging video before moving on to a more subtle work, a live SC class would be helpful. A live instructor can help you find what is actually being looked for in the techniques and confirm that you understand and are actually achieving them. The video tells you how to do the techniques, but obviously this is not the same as having someone actually watch you do it, and getting personal feedback. This is why the classes are kept small.

What Jody said is absolutely true-yet I feel that had I taken the super before the core, I could probably gotten more than I did.
The core is very intensive, and I aint too bright... There is never a put-down, never a snide word about well, HE is doing betterthan I am. I just wish I had enough time between classes to avoid total overwhelm, but then, I am so good at it...overwhelm I mean. When you do choose what class, and where, try very hard to go to Jody and alain. I have been to many classes, am going to take others, in order to understand more. I am not a fast learner, and feel I missed a great deal because I didn't comprehend what was offered to me. Jody and Alain are my first choice. I mean nothing against any other instructor, I simply mean I learned more easily and was treated differently in their classes. Enjoy your class, whichever it is. zeneagle "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without words and never stops at all" Love ya fambly |

Thanks Jody and Zeneagle for your replies.
I would like to do both the Supercharging and Core Transformation classes but the problem in Canada is that only a few classes are offered and then thousands of miles from us. We are just going to have to get a group together and bring Jody and Alain to Halifax, Nova Scotia! You'll love it here Jody (as will Alain) and we'll show you a great time as well! This will be my 2006 project - to get enough folks together to do this. Take care, lots of love and HAPPY NEW YEAR! WELL,WELL,WELL, Jo-Ann.. I'll take you up on that offer to Nova Scotia. I have been waiting for the right reason to experience Canada and this is the best suggestion yet. I live in Eugene, Oregon and would love to assist in gathering folks to go on a healing trip with Jodi and Alain, we can grab people along the way. It sure would be nice to have a bus, I can think of atleast three others that would like to join the caravan on a healing ride to heaven. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help the QT Family.

Hi Karma!
What an interesting idea! I will certainly keep it in mind! I believe the advanced workshops are limited to 12 and I hope to get that many right here in the Atlantic Provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland), but I love your concept! Maybe QT will set up a cruise ship workshop some day - travel to exotic places while learning Basic, SC, or CT! Take care and Happy New Year all! I took CT with Joddy and Alain, Up to 14 Alain works alone, if there are more, Joddy joins him, and the classes are limited to 20.
In Charlotte we were 20 studentes. I came all the way down from Brasil, it was worth... Wilson Wilson |

Hi Jo-Ann,
I took my first live Basic Workshop in November, 2002. Because the SC workshop was not being offered in my neighborhood, nor were the DVD's available at that time, I took the CT workshop one year later, thinking that it would clarify some of the questions I had after learning the basics. Girl, was I wrong! I got so confused and discouraged after the CT workshop that I totally abandoned all thoughts and efforts to continue with this "Quantum-Touch stuff." It's not that I felt like the class wasn't worth it, I was disappointed that it seemed to have absolutely NOTHING to do with the Quantum-Touch I'd learned in Tampa. It was as if CT was a completely separate modality! Of course, since then, I've read somewhere on this website that CT actually IS different from QT and SC, and have learned that I SHOULD have taken the SC workshop after learning the basics. And, since then, I've resumed my interest in QT to the point where I've taken the SC workshop, practiced for more than 60 hours, then completed and mailed all the required info and one-time fee this afternoon to become a certified practitioner. I still have the handouts I received at the CT workshop, so I'm looking forward to the CT DVD to refresh my memory, and possibly re-take the CT workshop, if needed. practitioner and paperwork is in for instructor status |
I took my first basic course in like oct of 2003 then took it with richard in may 2004 then I took the core transformation class in july 2004.
What was a challenge for me with the core transformation class was staying in my head.. As a hawaiian bodywork therapist/instructor I have trained my hands, fingers, forearms to tell me what is going on. I use Core Transformation work almost all of the time in sessions now, unless I feel the client needing basic work.. Core work has really helped my distance healing. Clients can feel me working on like their baby toe only with core work..Both Alain and Jody were very helpful in encouraging me when they could feel me staying in my head and out of my hands.. "A Finnish/American therapist who does Hawaiian Bodywork that professional athletes trust" Paperwork is in to become an instructor.. Specialize in fibromyaglia research with quantum-touch and also distance healing work I seem to have great results with |

Thanks for the feedback Rick (Luckdoubt) and Laplander.
I hope to do the SC first and then the CT workshop and appreciate getting your individual perspectives. And congrats on earning your practioner status Rick! Hugs to all! Jo-Ann "The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it." Chinese Proverb. |

Lovely discussion on the SC and CT programs. I took the SC long after the four Basic workshops, 1 live and 3 offered in my hometown with the video and I was really glad that I'd done lots of practice with the basic skills before learning the new SC skills. I've not yet taken the CT workshop, but I believe that it is not unlike the craniosacral training I took for some 700 hours.....so I am looking forward to it some day soon. To take this discussion a bit further, I discovered recently that I, as an instructor in Ottawa could not request the SC or CT workshops to come to my area. I had request an SC here as the result of many students wanting to take it. I understood that it was coming here in May, but alas, checking out the website there was no indication of an SC workshop in Ottawa. I telephone and discovered that it students are wanting to take either of these trainings, they are to call or e-mail individually and those message will be compiled and when there is adequate demand for the training, it will be offered. I hope that all of you aspiring participants for the advanced trainings read this message, as you could wait a long time to have your desire w/s offered near you unless you get on the computer or the phone and personally request it.

That is to some degree true however, if you have a large enough group of interested people and take the names and let the office know then you would be compiling a list that they can refer to without having to count on each one to send in a request to the office. Just a suggestion but I believe it would show the office the number of people interested verses just saying you believe that there is interest.

Thank you everyone for the info. I am taking my first workshop this weekend (basic) and was looking at the schedule so as to plan out my second. Up until reading these posts I wasn't sure which to do next, SC or CT. Sounds like I would get more out of CT if I waited. I have not seen any of the DVDs. All I have done so far is read the book. My intention is to be a practitioner some time this year. My more long-term goal is to be an instructor. I appreciate everyone's wisdom.

I also just took the basic this past week and enjoyed it. I plan to become a practitioner so i am doing a lot of practising. I enjoy the healing circles in the morniongs, i find that this helps. I will also be looking at the CT class soon.
