I am a bit confused about toning and the U-nan. After I set the U-nan in the body is it my choice to tone my own tone or to tone U-nan? When I tone U-nan how long do I need to do it? And do I also imagine the sound coming from inside the point when toning U-nan? Also, when I picture the U-nan in my mind before I put it in the body it is 2-D right? I appreciate your help. This is all so wonderful. Thank you Richard, Alain, and everybody else involved in this work. You are all a gift to the world!

I had some questions for her.
Here are the answers: You are always "ideally" saying u-nan either to yourself or outloud as you desire. The possibility of using a different verbal or sub vocal tone is always there but if you are using the U-NAN pattern it is most effective if you are relating to the word unan on some level as you tone. You say unan with each exhale. Understand that I almost never say it out loud. It is almost always said silently to myself. Yes, you imagine the sound you generate as coming from the point where you'd like the energy to meet. Yes, 2-d is fine. If you want to do it 3-d it doesn't hurt anything but it is more focus than you need to be effective. Alain Herriott instructor (advanced QT classes) |

Alain, your clarifications are always so excellent and so welcome. Also a review of the material taught in the class, which is good for me personally and greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to help us learn and grow in the work!
Every time we see it written or hear it in slightly different words, a new "pathway" is made in the brain, and it helps to get it "grokked in" so that it will become more automatic. Thanks. Hi Alain,
So when we are doing the U-nan meditation for ourselves, is the U-nam 2-d or 3-D? And is it only on the exhale that we intone U-nan as well? |

I always just think of it 2-d and let it take care of itself. You say unan during each breath cycle but it doesn't matter if it is on the inhale, exhale or half and half.
