I havnt taken the supercharging class yet, but have the dvd's, and have been through them once so far, and reviewed parts of them a second time..
I have a question about the MBS integration meditation.. the instructions (written), and on the DVD it says to inhale a full breath, then exhale about 10% and pause, "experiencing a relaxed space without tension" and allow the life-force color to fill you..
I have a problem doing that.. when I try to let out a little air and then hold my breath, I end up feeling more tense and stressed from holding my breath.. I find it is easier for me to continue the deep breathing, and visulize pulling the color up from my feet with the next breath.. I do this as many times as it takes to visulize being filled with the color, then continue the meditation process.. (it seems strange, but I actually have trouble getting white to fill all of me.. )
Is there something special about holding your breath with this meditation? should I continue to try to hold my breath with it? or just continue as I am, as long as I get to the point that I can visulize being filled with each color? Smiler

The purpose of the "paused" breath vs a holding of the breath is to let the energy/color build within you without locking away any portion of your body. The act of holding the breath when done in specific ways can hold energy away from getting into the whole body. This is why the pause is there.

Doing the breathing the way you are will work but it is slower (as you have noted) to saturated the body than the way the meditation is designed. I would expect it to work but it would be more gradual to have the long term desired affect but I would expect it to work. As I practiced the exercise as designed I don't know exactly how long before you could do the short cut technique but I would say to triple the time (9 weeks) of doing the focused meditation and then move on to the shortened way of doing the meditation.

You might try not taking as deep of an inbreath, (which would keep you more relaxed to begin with) and then instead of thinking of stopping the exhale partway through, just slow it way down for a couple of moments. Play with it and see how slow you can comfortably go, and for how long before you get tense. Try that first without worrying about the colors. If you can relax into the pause, without making it feel like "holding" you'll find it pretty effortless.

thank you both, I will try Jodys idea and practice some.. part of the problem I was having was difficulty visulizing my body filled with the color, it took longer to get completely filled, and by then I awas NEEDING to breath it seems, which makes it all a pretty tense situation.. but if the pause is that important, I will experiment some more with it.. It is quite natural for the filling of the whole body to take 3 to 4 days of practice, worry not. If you don't feel that you've gotten what you need from the first try then of course try again. You can repeat each color as many times as you like, but do keep them in order.
