I took the QT workshop about 2 mos ago, and shortly thereafter ordered the supercharging DVDs. I have been working my way through the supercharging DVDs, and am up to the U-NAN pattern. (have replayed the each section several times to really get as much as I could about the technique, so it has taken some time) Today I sat in a continuing ed class for my job, all day, with my business partner (who has a bad back, bad heart, bad lungs, a worn out knee.. and I could go on..) he does not think much of QT and I have not really used it on him as yet.. he is very skeptical of it. Well, just for curiosity (cuz I knew sitting all day was gonna kill his back) I sat there and ran distance energy to him for about 1 1/2 hours in the morning session and off and on during the afternoon.. I was using the U-NAN pattern, just visulized him inside a huge U-NAN.. just sitting inside it.. and at times visulized little u-nans flipping up and down his spine or through his knee etc.. by lunch time, after running this for 1 1/2 hr pretty much constant.. my hands were so shaky I could hardly pick up my books and papers to put them away and leave for lunch.. I felt shaky inside too.. all the while I ran the energy I could feel it really strongly in my hands.. by the end of lunch I was not so shaky..
After lunch as we sat in class, I tried to start running the energy and the u-nan pattern again, and got an upset stomach.. it kept getting worse until I had to stop running energy, which helped a little.. I then ran it off and on all afternoon the same way as in the morning.. but found my stomach getting upset and limiting what I could do.. this was all very strange for me.. I will admit I have not had alot of practice as yet, but even so I have never gotten shaky inside and out, or had a stomachache from it.. I was surprised cuz I kinda thought running energy was spose to make me feel better, not worse.. I dont know what to think about all this.. any ideas?? Smiler

btw, after class I asked how he was feeling.. and he said, actually, not to bad, his back was not bothering him, or anything else, except his feet which had been hurting all day.. Smiler so I told him what I had been doing, and he was not sure if it had made a difference or not, but from observation.. I would say it must have, cuz his back always gets very bad when he sits that long.. Smiler

The thing about the U-nan pattern is that you are supposed to set it and forget it, which means you set the U-nan and then just let it do the healing (for as long as it needs to) and you don't have to keep checking in on it. You've set an intented area for the U-nan to work on or around and you are trusting it to complete the work, freeing you up to move on to another part of your client's body or whom ever / what ever you are working on... and it really does keep on working by itself. Smiler

I've never set my attention on the U-Nan that long. Maybe you drained yourself or you were trying too hard. The energy is very gentle and can flow all by itself, whether or not we notice it.

Alain would know why you became sick.

I think using the U-nan pattern falls in to the category of greater allowing, as you are trusting it to continue running the intention that you set forth.

Thanks Andrea, that could be what happened.. its just that, I cant really "forget" the U-NAN pattern when I am sweeping and breathing the U-NAN sound.. it does seem to increase the energy flow when I use it..
I hope when Alain gets back he will take a look at my post and add his thoughts too.. Smiler meanwhile I am trying not to focus on the pattern after I set it.. thank you for your thoughts on this.. Smiler

Could you have been hyperventilating, Pennie? Were you chest-breathing or doing full diaphragmatic breaths (i.e., could you feel your abdomen clearly expanding on your inhale and clearly contracting on the exhale)? I'm not sure about the stomach problems, but when I first read the Q-T book and did my first session, I was very shaky and trembly afterwards, and later realized I hadn't been breathing properly and had been hyperventilating.

It is difficult to give you a good answer without watching you do the work. I do know that when you first start running energy at a higher rate, so to speak, that the hands may shake much as a pipe that has air in it shakes. This is usually a transitory state and after you get used to running a "higher" charge things should relax.

You may also be holding your hands with too much tension.

There are a lot of other ideas but let us know if what the suggestions given so far help any.

My ability to get to internet access is quite erratic for the next couple of weeks, but I'll check things out as I can.

I have been using supercharging techniques more lately, particularly the UNAN pattern, but I do set it and forget it now.. Smiler when I pull all my clients 8-12 chakras in and spin them all, my hands do really buzz.. they dont get shaky so much after doing the work, but I have noticed lately, my left hand in particular, tends to get numb, like it falls asleep.. the ulnar fingers especially.. but I dont have any other carple tunnel symptoms or problems.. even if I did, wouldnt running the energy help them rather then aggravate them? I do keep my hands soft, light and relaxed, and the last time it happened, I was being especially careful to keep my wrist relaxed and in neutral, and the fingers still went to sleep after about 30 min of running energy, and the UNAN pattern..
Any suggestions?

Do you ever move your hands to a new position or are you keeping your hands in the same postion exactly the whole time? If that is the case you may just need to move your wrist or arms a bit every 10 minutes or so.

As muscles are held immobile for an excedingly long time they begin to tighten and can put pressure on nerves. You may, unconciously have this tension.

I did keep my hands in pretty much the same place/postion the whole 35 min.. but I was sitting, elbows were supported, the only strain I felt was in my left low back because I was leaning a little to the right to reach the patient.. I was in her home, and there was no better way to postion both of us.. the energy was running so strongly that I felt it must be the right spot.. I will try to be more aware of my own body tensions, and shift postions abit next time.. thanks.. Smiler
