Ht,
1) When the energy meets, can it be at a pt that is not necessarily equidistant between the two hands? Or is it better to have it meet in the center? 2) Yesterday, I worked on a lady's foot and visualized/intended it to represent her pancreas. Is that a legitimate/effective practice? Hi kneadles,
As for #1: Yes. I recently worked on a woman with an earache in her right ear. Although I sandwiched both ears, my focal point was on the right inner ear. Pick a point between your hands and "offer" the energy to that point. The point does not have to be in the center. As for #2: You want to place your hands as close as possible to the source of the "problem" area. This increases the energy field around that specific area much more than from a distance. This explains why I encourage feedback during a session. If I'm working on someone's sore ankle and they tell me they're feeling stronger sensations in their upper left jaw, I'll move my hands to their upper left jaw, totally trusting that their body's intelligence is directing the session. Of course, if the area being worked on is hypersensitive to touch, or if there are boundary issues (breasts, groin, hemorrhoids, etc), simply place your hands as close as possible to the area, or have the client place THEIR hands over the area, then place your hands on their hands and offer the energy to the underlying tissues. Hope this helps, Rick Garzaniti Practitioner and Instructor "All you need is you." - Prem Rawat |

Thanks for the reply. It makes sense to be closer to the owie, but also, what about distance healing, right? You may hold a representation of the person and send energy from thousands of miles away. How do these two ideas square up? Thanks.
Also, where do we hold if we are sending energy say to the endocrine system or the metabolism or lymph or mental illness or.......you get the idea Thanks again, Gina Gina Haber, L.Ac., DNBAO Haber Acupuncture 1450 N. Lake Ave. Pasadena, CA 91104 626 798-7805 x214 |

For body systems, just pick a point and say to yourself "it is my intention that you, point (and I mean you) act as representative of the __ system of the body... and so it is and shall be ." For distance healing, you can visualize you arms/hands suddenly becoming 1000 miles long and entering the body/mind of the distant client so that each hand ends up being only a fraction of an inch away from the point within the client.

Hi folks,
For distance sometimes "I go to the client", and sometimes "I bring the client to me", either way, the client will be between my hands, so use your imagination, don't worry too much, relax, and evrything will be fine. Wison Certified Practitioner Wilson |
