I was just going through the DVD relating to the practising of U-NAN pattern in the healing. I understand that once the U-NAN pattern is set inside the place where I want the energy to meet, there is no need for me to think of individual colors and the U-NAN takes care of the colors required-irrespective of the problems of the client. All I need to do is to keeep breathing and send in the energy or do I still need to "push" the colors in through?

There is a basically correct but it is more of a by case situation.

As you may note from the video there are times that there are other colors used "around" the U-NAN pattern when you want a specific result. You still "set it and forget it" but you still are saying u-nan to yourself when you do so, you simply are not visually focused on the pattern or associated colors at the same time.
