I often wonder: If I place an UNAN pattern between my hands while working on a skull front to back, then switch my hand position to work side to side on the skull, is it necessary to create a new UNAN pattern, or can the first one be used twice?

Of course, I also wonder if you were to drive to the store to buy a Chinese cooking utensil, would you be going for a drive and a wok at the same time? Smiler

My first question takes priority over the second.

I see U-NAN as a 3-dimensional entity...after all there are spheres and rods -- so it isn't a flat 2-dimensional thing. I also see it moving, tumbling, dividing and spinning....so when viewed with that perspective, it would be in the same area, (inside the head) regardless of what plane was utilized for insertion.

Insert, set/forget/set into motion and it's there. U-NAN has an "aliveness" feel to me. Anyway, that how it works for me....just my 2 cents. Hope that makes sense!

Anytime you pick a new "center" or place to send the energy it is best if you "set" a new U-NAN pattern. Then set it and forget it offer the energy.

Thanks, Molinda. Know that every time I post something that will be read by Canadians or Brits containing words like "neighbor, humor, favor, armor," etc., I'll be thinking of "u". Smiler

I totally understand your perspective, Ali. Although I've never seen the U-NAN as moving, tumbling, dividing and spinning, I DO mentally rotate it so that all 3 rods and spheres are facing my palms before running the energy. I don't know if that is necessary, but it just feels better than running energy into the "sides" of the pattern - possibly because more surface area is exposed, offering me a larger target.

Alain, as usual, you've answered my question perfectly in one sentence. I've been doing exactly that, whether my hands are on a head, knee, wrist, foot...whenever I switch from side to side, front to back, or top to bottom.

My thanks, and blessings, to all of you.
