Alain,
I have started doing the longevity technique regularly(?) for the last one week.Although I have watched the DvD. and read the book a couple of times, I had not been able to sit for longer durations of time during the day and doing it in smaller units of time did'nt really give me the
satisfaction.
I have now started doing an hour of longevity technique at night ( shall I say forcing myself to do it--not that I do not enjoy doing it)before going to bed. I usually retire to bed at 11-30 and it takes another good 15 to 20 minutes before I fall asleep.

Initially, I started doing it exactly as detailed in the book and doing it for an hour saw my sweeping and breathing and chanting U-NAN
go missing at times ( though I manage to bring them back on track). Then I visualized millions of U-NAN pattern forms entering my feet as I
sweep and breathe and chant U-NAN. This has helped me quite a lot in focusing on the sweep and breath and the chant.I also place my hands on the body to let this energy in. Earlier I felt that although I was doing it for an hour, these missing"links" made me feel that I have done it only for 45 minutes. Now I feel it more encouraging.
I also could not feel the ellipse rotating fast
initially until I visualized the ellipse as Helicopter Blade starting to rotate slowly and then picking up enormous speed. Now I am able to
enjoy doing it more than ever and hope to continue for long. Thanks

I am not sure if you are asking a question or just stating how you do it.

I will say that you are trying a lot harder than necessary but if it is working for you that is just great.

Where you are trying harder than necessary in my opinion is:

1. Once the ellipse is up to speed, just trust it is doing the job and let go of that attention, in other words set it and forget it.

2. You don't have to be hyper focused on the sweep and breath the whole time, just check back every once and awhile.

3. You don't have to "sit" the whole time. You could do it lying down for a while and then sit up and continue the process. Then you could move to standing or even walking around a bit if you like while doing the technique. The order doesn't matter here I am just suggesting that you don't have to stay stationary.

Enjoy the day Smiler

Alain,
Thank you so much for the prompt reply. I did take the visualization part a little too seriously initially but settled down to the ' set it and forget it' part later on.

Since Quantum Touch specifically mentioned that I have to do the sweeping and breathing 100% of the time, I was putting more pressure on myself to ensure this. Now that it is amply clear that I can keep my attention on the breathing and sweeping without literally pushing myself through this.
But what I liked most about your mail is that I don't necessarily have to tie myself to a
stationary position. Thanks again
