The Chelas in India have a very beautiful prayer which you will note is not a beseeching prayer:

“I go forth this day in all things immersed wholly in God and God’s abundance. The conquering Christ stands forth, one with God’s abundance and in every activity of this day. Now I know that I am God’s supreme child. I move each moment of this day immersed in God and God’s divine love. God! God! God! The great flame of love flows through every atom of my whole being. I Am the pure golden flame of God. I pour this divine flame through my physical body. The conquering Christ salutes you. God, my Father. Peace! Peace! Peace!

10 years ago,I read "the life of the masters"from Spalding and it was amazing...I 'm wondering if the books your talking about have been translate in my country...I'll check..today.

My friend, Steven, started the book discussion on Life and Teaching of Masters of Far East....about 2 wks ago. We are meeting every 2nd Wed of ea month. I bought Vol 6 from a book vendor in Mountain Home , Ark as he ordered it for me at Cyndy Greens Body, Mind , and Spirit Fair here in Springfield, MO. Vol 6 is terriffic! We only have about 6 people at book discussion but it will grow. Love these books...undoubtedly the best books I have ever read!

I am still moving, unpacking, etc. but decided to use the Prana breathing from Vol 4 of the set. This Prana breathing is more of a Yin type breathing and it did help with my energy level as I was putting in much time and energy with the move.

Hey booklovers! Check out abebooks.com and alibris.com They sometimes have awesome deals on the old mystical books. I am a book-a-holic so I had to find a way to keep my "habit" under control (LOL) Sometimes with shipping - go ahead get the books new from amazon. It doesn't pay..... But sometimes the books are CHEAP, and the shipping is more than the book. Sometimes you can find books that are out of print!

And I too, loved the Masters of the Far East. A very awesome bookset that I will read again soon.

I just received my set. Here's the email that I sent the seller:

I'm confused. I ordered a 6 volume set, your packing slip lists a 6 volume set. However, there are only 5 books in the set. The ISBN matches and the 5 books fit nicely in the sleeve. There should be 850 pages and the 5-book set has 844. Please explain where the 6th volume is. Who can't count? Me, you, or the publisher?

The first 5 volumes of my set total 844 pages. Volume six is 223 additional pages, third printing, 1999. THat really sucks that you didn't get what you ordered. Volume six is a collection or articles that Baird Spaulding wrote, some manuscripts and notes, so it wasn't included in the earlier printings of the set. It was compiled much later than the first 5. The bad thing is - you didn't get it. The good thing is, you should be able to find Volume 6 as a standalone if the bookseller doesn't make good. I would push for making them make good..... I didn't enjoy #6 as much as it was a bunch of scattered notes - interesting, but the flow wasn't there. But that doesn't excuse your not getting it! I'll send some energy for a quick and amicable resolution...

I read the book some years ago and found it very inspiring. Thanks for reminding me to read it again!

The bookseller is as confused as I am and has offered to refund or give discount. I'm not sure what to ask for. I think I'll just let it be. I surely want to let Amazon know that their listing is incorrect.

I would say - it depends on what you paid....the full set new incl. Vol. 6 is $35+. Vol.6 new is $11+. One of the older sets (before vol. 6) has pink covers. The newest set has a gray cover and the picture looks like on amazon. I would divide your total price (including shipping) by 6 and then ask for a credit in that amount. If you are happy with the quality of the set, then keep it - you can add volume 6 later. It likely won't match in looks so depends on how anal you are. LOL!! Personally, I thought volume 6 was a nice adjunct, but not fabulous. I didn't even finish it. I devoured the first 5 though. You got the best of the best. So, if you got a good price, then all is well. I go back to.... things happen for a reason.... You may find it in a used bookstore or at a flea market... WHo knows... And, if you can't stand it, you still can order it after the fact. It really depends on you, right?

Thorough enjoyment of the 5 volume set...again, AMAZING!
