Hi everyone

As some of you know I went to see Lynne McTaggart talk last night. She was giving an insight to her upcoming 2 day event about The Intention Experiment. I thought I would post the highlights here for those interested in what she had to say!

Firstly Lynne is an interesting and compelling speaker and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her. For those who don't know her background she is the author of The Field and The Intention experiment. She has spent many years investigating the power of thought and fusing science with spirituality and seeing where and how they meet.

Much of what she was saying was totally in line with QT and what we are taught in the basic course from day 1. She spoke about resonance and energy, although without going into too much depth given the alloted time she had. I also expect she was saving the big stuff for her workshop which is understandable. This was just a one hour taster session.

One thing that did stick out in my mind was when she compared the universe to jello that hasn't yet set. She said that contrary to the Newtonian perspective, the universe and all in it are not yet finished! She said this has been proven scientifically which leaves a new door wide open for research. This is where the power of our intention comes into it. Lynne suggests that our inention and thought is so powerful that it can effect what we think are finished objects such as buildings and tables etc. She states that our thoughts are actually able to influence what we believe to be solid matter. She goes on further to state that collective intention could be the most powerful under investiagted force in the world today. Hence the Intention Experiment which is Lynne's fantastic idea to have as many people as possible send healing intention at the same time for 30 minutes to a dying plant. The experiment will be live via webcam on the internet so all can actually see the outcome of the experiment. The idea being that if we can change a plant, we can change the world.

Lynne also went on to talk about how the body is the maidservant of the mind. She cited examples of people who had healed through visualisation and other mind body integration methods, and word quantum came up several times - just without the word touch at the end!

Much of what was said last night was stuff I already knew from the this wonderful QT message board, What the Bleep, The Secret and other reading but I wasn't aware of the various science that backs up what used to be thought of as new age talk etc. So it was very interesting to hear about some of the science that backs up what QT'ers practice and believe already. I am sure the weekend workshop will be very interesting....It is good place for anyone skeptical to start their journey.

I would encourage everyone to take part in the Intention Experiment which someone has previously posted about on this messageboard.

I certainly left the talk last night feeling that the world is on the brink of something new, big and wonderful.

I find it's always good to reinforce what we may already know, and great hearing about it from other perspectives.

How lucky we are to be part of all this!

Thank-you for sharing your experiences with Lynne McTaggart. I've read and loved her book, The Field, and now I'm going to explore the Intention site.

The Field is an awesome book. At least for the scientist in me. I just got her new book "The Intention Experiment" which I hope to read this weekend and plan to participate in the experiment later this month.
