Does anyone know any good sites and or books that talk about food combining or eating for your blood type. I am trying to eliminate mucous build up and
work on my digestion also in order to to increase my energy. I know there are some very knowledgeable people out there who could perhaps point me in the right direction.

On another note as I spent two hours with an herbalist. As part of the process she was working with iriodology. At one point as she was peering into my eyes she said she thought that I would be good at doing energy work such as Reiki, etc and I had to laugh as I told her I already did. LOL Smiler She also said I was very clear, lymph very clear, strong constitution. I really think that running energy on a constant basis keeps us cleaned out! Interesting confirmation about energy work.

Just to get the ball rolling, in my opinion, any of the books by Marilyn Diamond and Donald Schnell such as "Fit for Life".

You might want to try Dr. Mercola's website:

http://www.mercola.com/

He advocates eating for your blood type and used to sell a book about it.

Hi Karen-
What's great for a good 'ol clean-out is A COLON CLEANSE. I can vouch for the benefits - kick-starts your body like nothing else!!! I felt great AFTER the cleanse- but went through an intense healing crisis during it, which just goes to show how much I needed (and still do) it. I got my products from:
http://www.blessedherbs.com/

I live in Spain, so I got it dfrom theuir UK branch. Their stuff is excellent and I was very happy with the service too.

Fit For Life is agreat book. Not easy to change if you are used to the typical American diet. Dairy, sugary products, and most grains cause folks a lot of problems. When you combine those with meat you get acidic buildup. So the idea is to go towards fresh organic fruits and vegetables in the right combinations and minimize the others.

Have you tried eating sprouts? I grow them and eat some every day. Take a look at www.sproutpeople.com for info and supplies.

Wow you wonderful people!

Thanks for giving me so many good ideas and starting points! and wonderful books to look for and web sites. A gold mine.It is very much appreciated.

The herbalist I went to mentioned Mercola but couldn't remember the exact site name so thanks Winder for the web site. she told me to try and eat for my blood type.I am starting slowly so as not to overwhelm my system with too many changes.

I gave up dairy over a year ago but am trying to figure out the logistics of it all and the not eating fruit with anything and not meat and potatoes I guess. That kind of eliminates casseroles and stuff . It will definitely be a whole new way of doing things.

I used to eat sprouts and grow them myself years back but there are so many one can buy in the store now.

wow, Thanks again everyone.
Hugs

Hi karen

I am new and have been mostly in a Reiki forum but have conme over for some new learning. I saw your question and just wanted to add my humble thought, which you may already know, but I find it helpful for me to sometimes be reminded of things...

I found that by concentrating on foods as good or bad for you tends to increasing the chance that affect you in that way... I aguess I am referring to the Law of Attraction. I found for my own health that when I just focused on what was feeling good, on blessing my food and "Knowing" that it was going to be good for my body, focusing on what I want to feel like instead of what I don't want, that most everything felt better, with time healing was very profound simply by shifting thought pattern. I know that being in this area of healing you already must do that in most arenas of your life, but thought that maybe your focus on the mucous you did not want could contribute to making more more of it. Maybe just do what you can, cleanse/herbs...whatever feels right and then let go and concentrate on how good you feel and thank the universe for your healing everyday...just my own thoughts of course, but was taught this and had great results in all areas.

be well

Thank you Sundance.

You have some very good points. Thanks.

I was concentrating on the mucous because of using CPAP therapy and trying to eliminate the stuffy nose. Actually the advanced cranial sacral person I went to week before last kind of rearranged my face and my sinus and nose are great now. It made a huge difference because the face masks I have tried over the last 4 months kind of put pressure in all the wrong spots cutting off lymph and torking my nose and squishing the optical nerves.when the therapist was done i felt like I had lost a 100 pounds off my face and head. My friend then showed me things I can do to work on my nose myself and I add the QT energy to that also but I imagine every few months I will have to get an overhaul. Heehee. Oh well.

Improving my diet can't hurt. It isn't too bad just could use a bit of tweaking.

Thanks for reminding me of those things you said. It never hurts to be reminded of them! Smiler

Blessings to you.
Hugs

Hello Karen

I had a mucus problem from cystic fibrosis. Dairy, wheat and sugar are mucus producing foods as you probably know. Too many fruits can create an acidic enviroment which can lead to yeast in the bowel. Everything in moderation is key. Read all labels even if you are in a health food store. I suggest you learn muscle testing so you can test for foods in question. It is not an exact science but can help to guide you.

Take care
Risa

Hi Karen,
I just wanted to add my 2 cents. I really liked what Sundance had to say. I've been struggling with the right diet for years, and have just recently found out what was wrong with me.(a parathyroide tumor) But in my struggle to feel better I've tried alot of diets, and really like my own version of food combining. I also like Stanley Bass's web site. I think our body's do have their own wisdom about these things. Now that I've said that I don't like the Fit for Life books. One thing they advocate that does not work for most people is only fruit for breakfast. I eat fruit first and than a little later eat either a protien or carb.
A book I like alot is Your body know best by Ann Louis Gittleman, she talks about how to find the right diet for You!
I also use a pendulum to decide which food are right for me. Good luck in your search for own way to eat.
Love Ann

Oh and I lost 10 pound when I started food combining, it was effortless, and has stayed off, and I now feel like I'm the ideal weight for me.

Hi Ann,
Thank you for your two cents worth. I appreciate what you had to say. Smiler I am finding that I have to find my own way like you said. For instance the assimilation tea the herbalist recommended that is made of 5 herbs (because she felt they were a cheap way of getting minerals and such) my body reacted strongly against two of them. I usually hold the substance and if it strongly repels me backwards I know it isn't for me. Likewise if it draws me forward I know it is great. If I don't react I figure it is neutral.

Thanks for the recommendation of the book.

I find I can't just eat fruit on its own for very long as it is too much sugar for me. I have to have carb or protein later like you say or my blood sugar gets off. I can't eat a lot of fruit.

i have decided a few changes at a time so as not to the system.

Thanks for your best wishes on finding the better diet for me.
I appreciate that. You give me confidence to keep going!
Thanks
Hugs
Karen
