I'm wanting to bump this post back up because I think the information is so awesome.
And I just finished the book, "My Stroke of Insight" by Jill Bolte Taylor, the scientist in the video clip. If you can find the book, it’s a great read. Very enlightening information on how our right brain and left brain works - separately and together. Bingz is right – the video is well worth the watch. If you like the video, she also has 4 - 30 minute videos on Oprah's Soul series. The last pages of the book talk about things that are very important for dealing with someone suffering form any form of brain damage... It is about strokes but I found that as I read the information it was enlightening and informational with regard to the brain in general and how we can work with it. Not only in our loved ones and others, but even within ourselves as we age….. |
