I cancelled a colonoscopy that I was to have on Friday. My doctor wanted me to schedule one, because he said what I have wrong with me sometimes also manifests as colon cancer.
During the consultation, the colonoscopy doctor said if he saw any polyps he would remove them, and if he saw anything suspicious he would biopsy it. I told him I didn't want a biopsy as they were dangerous and pierced the capsule. He told me that was true in needle aspiration biopsies (WOW! Can't believe a doctor admitted even THAT much!) But he said in the colon, the growth was ''enclosed'' and the cells would not be able to get into the bloodstream; they would just be passed out of the colon. I was okay with that at first, but the more I thought about it the less I liked it, so I called and cancelled. If I knew what he said was true, I might go ahead and do it. But I have searched high and low on the internet, and can't find anything about colon biopsies, and whether they are dangerous or not. I was hoping someone might have knowledge of this or may have read something about it somewhere. I also didn't like the polyp removal thing. IF my body is battling cancer in some form (even if it's ''pre''cancer) I don't like the idea of producing any type of injuries in my body that would take the immune system away from fighting the cancer cells. I have always had a theory that the reason cancer explodes so badly after people have surgery, is because of the extreme trauma on the body that the immune system has to rush to fix. When it does that, there is nothing left to fight the cancer, so it just explodes. By the time the body is healed of the trauma (weeks?) it is too late to keep any type of cancer in line, as it was allowed to run rampant too long. Please let me know if you know anything about the dangers of this type of biopsy (or not). Thanks very much!!! |

Biopsies are not generally dangerous, and issues associated with needle biopsies are rare. The polyps are on a little stalk and those should be removed, and are neatly snipped off and sealed with a tiny little cautery. The tissue is then examined by a pathologist to see the cell type and if it is malignant or not. Most are not.
Your doctor told you the correct information. I have never heard a story about cancer "exploding" following surgery, in 40 years of doing anesthesia in major hospitals. Some people already have widespread cancer at the time of operation, and I have never heard of it "exploding" afterwards. The "exploding" statement makes no sense at all. The only cancers that "are allowed to run rampant too long" are the ones left undiagnosed, mostly in patients who refused to go to a doctor when they had symptoms. The only way to know if you have cancer is to biopsy suspicious lesions. The biopsy/polypectomy will remove pre-cancerous lesions, and they will be examined for cell type....and that is the best hope to catch an early or pre-cancer. Be well! I hope this helps. Alice H. I don't know that 'exploding' is the term, as the cells don't blow up like a bomb, flinging bits in all directions. But I have read of cancer spreading faster after being biopsied (don't know about this particular area though). Check Mercola.com and possibly shirleys-wellness-cafe.com for info, as this may be where I saw it. I know I've seen it on various lists, but this is not 'official' enough. Kelley Eidem's book The Doctor Who Cured Cancer might have some help too, and definitely check his cancer blog.
BUT the main thing is to find out what's up! You balance the risk of the biopsy against the risk of hiding your head in the sand. What is the standard treatment to be, if a biopsy were positive? What could be some alternatives, and can you change to using them right now, just in case? Let's raise your vibration so that any doubtful looking things change to healthy! Holly, I'm treating this aggressively. With natural, alternatives. I'm treating it as if it's the worst! There's a test I want to take that gives you an idea of how cancerridden you are. So you can see if it's a little bit or a lot!
I know I've read lots of places that biopsies are dangerous. Many people I know say that when people they know have had surgery, the cancer goes out of control(that was what I meant by explodes). They think it's because air gets to the cancer. I don't. What I've been reading is that cancer cells are anaerobic. If they are, they would not proliferate when hit by air. Even this surgeon admitted that needle biopsies are dangerous. He knew. Ali, did you have followup with all the patients that had biopsies, so you would know if they had developed worse cancer or not? I know a lot of people who had family and friends whose cancer got much worse after they had biopsies. All the articles I have read say that biopsies pierce the capsule and release cancer cells into the body environment, and they come to rest and basically metastacize. And the odds for metastacized cancer using western medicine are totally dismal. |

It's impossible to have follow up with all patients, even if you are the surgeon...but working in the same place for decades with the same surgeons, one would tend to see the returning patients and notice them.
The trouble with "cancer" is that it is a broad description of more than 1000 different entities, with origin in different cells, with different locations, morphology, chemistry and suseptibility to drugs or radiation or surgery or a combination. "Cancer" is all kinds of things, very different things. Without a biopsy, you don't know if it is cancer. Without a biopsy, you don't know what KIND of cancer. Without a biopsy you don't know how to best treat it. Without a biopsy & cell and receptor studies, you don't know what chemo or medicine/radiation the tumor will respond to. Without a biopsy, the doctor's hands are tied and a blindfold is on his eyes. No reputable physician can or would offer any treatment without first establishing the diagnosis. There are all kinds of things on the internet too, about "cancer," so it's a case of "buyer beware." If I had cancer symptoms I'd rather rely on the doctors and not the internet to be diagnosed and treated, but everyone is free to make their own choices, of course. Most of the stuff on the net is not written by medical professionals, & a good bit of it is just insane. I do believe that QT/energy medicine works, and my remarks in no way diminishes that belief. Best combo is medicine + healing work. I wish you well. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Ali, Alice H. Hey Tweasel,
I have a colonoscopy every five years because of family history. The prep is worse than the procedure! Really not bad and i would gladly have a polyp removed. They do them the same time as the procedure. I have never had one. Also had biopsy and cryotherapy for precancerous cervical. That was years ago. No problems since. Sometimes the fear is worse than the actual procedure. blessings on figuring out what is best for you Karen |

I'm surprised at some of the posts. Is the AMA involved here? QT is a matter of application, not common opinion, or common 'medical practice'. Start applying what you are are thinking. The results may astound you.

Kevin, it is the policy of QT to inform every client that QT is adjunctive, not primary medical care, and all clients are advised to seek licensed medical care. QT is not a substitute for medical care. The disclaimer is part of most consent forms & in Richard's book, because we don't diagnose and we don't treat. Ever. That is called "practicing medicine without a license" and can get a person into real legal trouble. And, a medical question was asked in this thread, so a medical explanation was given, without making a diagnosis or prescribing treatment.
And yes, applying QT can result in a miracle. Hope this helps. Alice H. Practitioner and Instructor http://healinghandsminnesota.com Turn your face to the sun -- The shadows fall behind. |

Thanks, ya'll! Karen, I know what you mean about the prep! I heard some horror stories about it!
I saw my cousin butchered and tortured for 10 years, until her insurance money ran out, and then all the caring medical professionals put her out on the street. Her brother was also diagnosed and didn't tell anyone or get any treatment. He lived longer than she did, and was sick about 3 months before he died. I much preferred his way, to what happened to her. At one point the doctor told her that her immune system was shot, so she said, ''OK, what can I do about it?'' and he told her, ''Nothing!'' I feel strongly that the way to tackle this kind of problem is with things that are easy on your body. My body is fighting for me, and I don't want to harass my body, I want to help it! And there are so many ways to do that! QT is definitely one of them! Holly, do you think CST would help at all? It just helped me with so many little things, that it seems like it should be helpful for this too. (I want to get some more CST anyway. It made me feel GREAT! It took several days, but I LOVE it!) I will definitely do imaging every day. Steve Murray's book was very good. And I think I'm going to alternate days doing hemi-sync and sound therapies, and probably some out of the sel-hypnosis book. In addition of course to a brand new diet (which is pretty much what Cris was talking about, which is raw food--I already eat about 35 % raw anyway). And of course the green barley and beta glucans that I'm taking, and I'll be doing, plus I'll try some other nutritionals and supplements. And I've come up with a daily cocktail! Org tomato juice, with apple cider vinegar, aloe juice, cayenne, ginger and curcumin! What cancer could POSSIBLY exist in the body of someone who drank a glass of THAT every day??? Also will be trying exercise and daily sunshine, along with QT and Reiki. And am going to try to learn the Quantum Entrainment. By the time I do all this, I should be healthier than I've ever been in my LIFE!!! Have also read that attitude and laughter are extremely important. And I SHORE have an attitude, and I laugh all the time, so I should have all that covered! And I love SO much that we have this board to share so much on. Ya'll have introduced me to so MANY cool things! |

Tweasel, you are doing great, you remain positive& that's always good for you.
I had my first mammogram when i was 52yrs... they found something suspicious, did a needle biopsy (not nice) but it didn't take long. The one Dr said she thought i was ok but the head Radiologist disagreed..anyway, i had surgery & yes it was cancer, most of breast was taken away plus lymph nodes under right arm. I was convinced right from the start i would be ok, took a while what with radiotherapy etc but they were a terrific team...if it wasn't for that Radiologist & her expertise i may not be here today & talking to all my wonderful "fambly" What i'm trying to say is, i agree with Ali, medical & alternative do go hand in hand but there are times we need to listen to medical advice. Good luck love Love Mo x x x "Learning every day & loving it !" |
