I have always wanted to do "Rescue" work, freeing Earthbound souls but seldom had the chance. You may be intrested in one time I stumbled upon it. I was driveing down Ferry Rd. in Auckland when suddenly; the feelin of 'death'!I knew that feeling; I have been there and done that, more times than I care to remember! I backed up to see where it was coming from. I was beside an old graveyard. There was a small, black angel statue, head bent, wings folded, eminating misery and death. I couldn't stop that day. I told my councellor about it.
Next day I returned and walked into that graveyard. As soon as I did, I picked up the misery and resistence, "Go away. Leave me be!"" As I approached the resistance got more intense. I laid hands on the black angel and gave some healing until the being calmed down somewhat, then I started communicating with it.
"Fact one. You have passed thru transition but you have got stuck on your way and are now "earthbound". Two "Nobody holds you here. You are held by your own emotions and belief! I can free you, so do what I say! If you look out afar you will see a small, bright light. As you concentrate on it, it grows nearer and larger. Now stop holding this black angel. Let go and move into the light and allow it!'
I felt the resistence go and suddenly there was a hugh swish of energy, like a rushing wind. Then it was gone and I stood alone with the black angel and all was peace!
I told my councellor, "I have been down Ferry Rd., again." She said, "Yes, I know!" "But how do you know?"
"Well, I went there myself and I found the black angel and it was 'clean'! You did a good job, Eric!"
"Rescue" is a kind of 'healing!

The "Rescue" work just proves that you are not only courageous, but kind, and generous.

I do what you describe as a regular thing, stopping and doing, or being there with the person who is passing at the request of the family or the person - its called, in the old days, Psychopomp.

You did a brave kind generous thing.You could have been hurt, but you didn't even think of that, did you?

Zen, Another little story wouldn't do us any harm!
I was invited to a Buddhist Meditation Evening.
I felt a bit lost not knowing exactly what they were doing. Afterwards, the leader talked to me about Buddhist "Metta" Meditation, where you send love to yourself, your friends and loved ones, people you don't like and enemies if any. Then to 'trouble spots and the whole world.
She wanted to teach me that but "It will cost you $75." I said, "Close your eyes!" I took her hands and sent her "Unconditional Love" to fill her heart to oveflowing! She was joyful and amazed. She said "How did you do that?"
I replied, I will teach you for $75!

Loving Kindness is an ENERGY, not the answer to those questions. Thats only 'intellect'!
