In terms of the colour different people asociate to each chakra, it sems consistent, except when it comes to the heart chakra. Where sometimes people asociate the colour pink to it. Can anyone explain why this is, how, or give further explanation? In terms of applictation, what is the difference between using the two? Where does the pink fit into the equation, in terms of application?
I have a picture of a flower which has white petals, and looks like it has some pink on the inner or central areas of the petals. However, upon closer inspection it actually contains red particles with white in between the red particles, which gives the impression of pink. So i was wondering perhaps the pink is like a central meeting or melding point of the base chakra's Red and the crown chakra's white light.

Sometimes I experience the vibration of pink from the heart chakra, rather than the traditional "green"...don't know why. I think the chakra colors are on a continuum so that one blends with the other, like the heart chakra vibration gradually turns from green to the blue throat chakra vibration, but along the way you have blue/green. Regarding pink, perhaps it is a vibration of feeling that is evoked when the heart chakra is open.

Pink of the heart is associated with unconditional love. I often feel like surrounding a person or myself in a big soft pink bubbly hug. I often see pink in my own healing or a combination of pink and green.

Cassandra your right about the heart being the gateway between the higher and the lower chakras.

When I do chakra meditations I usually include the thymus chakra, between heart and throat, and use the blue-green color. I have been told by several people ( I am no expert!) that bright pink in one's aura, especially if seen around the heart, is strong indication of unconditional or Universal Love. And I often enclose clients in a pink bubble of bliss, especially if they are distraught or agitated. The other occasion when I've used that pink bubble is in distant work on crying children, as in public places and on airplanes.

And lastly, two of the special Vogel crystals I use are made of Ruby Lavender quartz, which actually is that bright pinky-rosy-lavender color that is imparted by the rare earth element Neodymium, which you can see visually if you google that element. It's a very specific wavelength of color that in IMHO, is very powerful and useful in the Vogel healing work. Maybe I can attach a picture that shows the crystal and the color. Fascinating stuff!

I think that's a great insight - I know that one significance of the heart is it's where heaven and earth meet, creating man (or woman, of course!).

I myself am clairvoyance-challenged! But I've seen many times where healers say that each chakra is actually made up of many colors, with perhaps a little bit of a dominance in the color traditionally associated with that chakra. There are so many levels from which one can be looking at a chakra, not to mention there being so many different levels from which a particular person can be primarily operating - I think this is the reason that there are disputes about what the chakras actually look like.

Love your crystal Ali. Those Vogel crystals are pretty pricey. I'm guessing they are worth it if you purchased for healing purposes.

A crystal healer spoke to me of a 13th chakra, out in front of the body about arm's length from the heart chakra whose colour is pink.

I wonder if that's what we see when we note pink at the heart. (I often feel that's the colour I see at the heart, too.)
