I'm going to join this and turn my lights out for one hour on March 29th, 8 pm local time. To read a short article go here: http://www.triplepundit.com/pages/world-powers-down-for-earth-ho-002941.php
To sign up go to the site website http://www.earthhour.org I like global actions! Last year this was just happening in Sydney so the momentum to do something is growing fast. |

Hi All, I received this from my niece -Mhari
Hey Everyone, I know some people don’t believe this is a threat, but I do, and I’m not asking to change your mind, just asking you to think about the ones you love dearly who may not be affected now, but have a huge potential of being affected in the future if this issue continues to get passed over. It sounds simple, but it is very, very dramatic. In 2007 it was a Sydney event, but Earth Hour 2008 is a global movement. It’s about individual action and how together we can unite and make a world difference. Sekon Skennen:kow - May a great peace be within you |

I agree Mhari - let's be part of this positive initiative to conserve energy. It is not a protest or a march, but an awakening of an awareness that should be sweeping the world. One doesn't have to agree about climate change but one does have to acknowledge that some energy sources are finite and we should be moving at a much faster pace to changing over to renewable sources.
That weekend I will be attending a meditation retreat, so it fits in wonderfully with the focus of the weekend. There will be a lot of people there and I will bring this to their attention so Gaborone csn be part of the initiative. Love Wendy "Expect miracles" |
