One day, when I belonged to a cult, an instructor came in and in a very serious, commanding voice ordered, "START LAUGHING!!!"
This turned on everybody's resistance.(Which was what he wanted) I felt I was going to faint away or vomit.
After a time, one guy who couldn't stand it any longer, started to say, "HAHAHA" in a stupid, sarcastic voice.
Of course, we all relieve our tension by laughing at him and that got louder and happier,
as we tried to outdo each other, goaded on by that horrible instructor, "GREAT! KEEP LAUGHING!!" Most of us were in tears and some were Rolling on the Floor Laughing Like Loons and Scaring the Damed Cat!! Nobody wanted to stop!
Give him credit for one of the best processes that I was ever dragged through!
I still feel the joy every time I remember it
