A friend of mine sent me this, and I thought it was cute and would be good to share on Valentine's Day.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,

'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww......

There are some wonderful phrases in there, aren't there?! I love 'little stars come out of you'.

The remark that Billy made really hit home. That's such a profound thing to say, about your name being safe in another person's mouth. Maybe I should write that down and put it on my wall.

Wisdom beyond words is "....when you stop opening presents and listen." How many children are encouraged to listen and feel? WOW Wow wow! Children are indeed our most precious resource.

Thanks for this, When I was running Uncon. Love workshops, I would ask for definitions of love but they were all too narrow and some shocking.
I came up with this, "LOVE is the WILLINGNESS to be AT-ONE with another being."

I specially liked the one of the little boy who sat on the knee of the neghbour who had lost his wife. When asked what he said to him, he said "Nothing, I just helped him cry!"
What insight (seeing into), what compassion (feeling together), what love!
What willingness to be at-one with the old man and his grief!
