Hi Molinda,
Thanks for these links. I went to a course on the weekend called Living with Angels and several of the messages I got were about adding more laughter to my life. My co-worker is looking at adding virtue yoga to the grades K-8 to build resiliency but how about adding laughter yoga, too, to the schools. They can be much too serious places! Karen |

Molinda thank you for this site. I had gotten words yesterday that a beloved family member had died. I was on my way to work when notified and couldn't cancel. So, being a nurse, the brave face had to be. By the end of the shift I was so numb. I watched the video and started laughing---and the tears began to flow. The laughter reset my emotional buttons to acknowledge how precious life is and even in time of grief to give praise. Thank you.

Thanks Mo.
A few years ago now, I had gone to two laughter workshops. It seemed remotely closer to the 2nd link. They got us walking around, doing things, acting out things, saying things/ making certain noises/ or saying words in a modified way. Some of it becomes silly enough, but when you are participating it does actually loosen one up and the laughing does start to build up. The first laughter workshop i experienced was at an easter festival out in the bush. Anyone who wanted to hold a workshop could, and did. (there were no fees for doing so, it was just a case of puting the description of the workshop on a blackboard to book any of the vacant spaces) There was a tarp on the ground and a sail shade overhead. Perhaps around 40 people in the laughter workshop, so you could not avoid being self conscious about hearing yourself saying these funny words while almost bumping into someone. By the end of it, the laughter had build up to a point where it was very easily triggered. We lay on the ground which eneded up being a circle where we had our feet pointing away from the circle and had our head on another persons stomach. So it was a comlete loop or circle of people, laying on the ground. There was someones head on my belly, and as i laughed they laughed, and at the same time my head was bouncing on someone elses stomach as they were laughing. What an experience. If anyone wants to experience it and finds a laughter club nearby, I highly recommend looking up a laughter club nearby. |

I get laughs from my Monty Python DVDs, and from the many youtube videos that are funny. I recommend searching the site for your favorite humor - it's probably on there!
For example, many, MANY site users have posted "Manamana" from the Muppet Show. It really brightens my day. |
