I know this is important... I am sorry to see it put together in the 'negative context' though.

Saying Stop That! feels yucky...

Where is the group saying DO THIS Good Thing? Support Peace! Spread Love! Serve your neighbor! Those statements feel MUCH better. They intend the same outcome, but one of them feels like Hope and one of them feels like sickness -to me anyway.

Huggie and All --I believe that many groups and individuals are putting the loving intention "out there" for Peace, Love and Healing, and focusing on the positives rather than emphasizing the negatives. When we focus on war, bloodshed, killing, and horror, we are putting our attention on those negatives, and energy follows thought......

One group that is sending healing and love to ALL parties involved in the conflicts, wherever they may be, is the QT Healing Circle in the chat room. Another aspect of healing the planet involves the wise use of precious resources for projects and lifestyles that are positive and uplifting and beneficial.

Let's keep sending those thoughts by visualizing the Paradise that this planet is meant to be, in the expectation of fulfillment and joy. It HAS to help.

People have been meditating and praying for peace in the middle east for many years; at least as long as Israel has been in existance!
It just got worse.
This was a chance to DO something in the real world. We sent a petition signed by nearly half a million people to the UN urging urgency and two days later a ceaste fire was engineered.
Yes they could have written the petition in "nice" words. Some who experienced the bloodshed and lost loved one might have written it better. We could have sent some little prayers and hoped they would work.
I am surprised that nobody here had any interest in stoping the bloodshed, if I might put it so bluntly!

Of course we want the bloodshed to stop all over the world! Why would you assume otherwise? Some of us may do it differently than you but we want peace just as badly! We may do it by sending, praying, or joining causes toward peace, etc.

You don't need to "growl" Huggie! Really that energy could be better spent. There are too many opinions as there are people and causes and each one of us is unique. We must all learn to be tolerant first.

Actually I signed the petition. It's a worthy goal, much needed in this world. It's just the emphasis on the negative, the focus on "bloodshed" that can be counter-productive. I know, I know, it's semantics, just words, it's really Peace that we're after.....so why are we focusing on bloodshed?

I'm not cruisin' for a bruisin' here at all. We're all on the same page in our most fervent desire for Peace, of that I am positive, but at least in my mind, the words we use ARE important....another vibration that we put "out there."

A million people shouting "No war!" is still focused on what? War.

I must say that I agree about the use of positive words. Once, I had a wonderful, spiritual experience by listing all the positive words. But I didn't write that petition! It was written, no doubt, by those who are still immersed in the hypnotic spell of "CONFLICT" and agression and competiveness, so that wishing to end a real world conflict they use words more appropiate to conflict.
Maybe, I will post that technique of "listing positive words"

Zen, Thanks for encouagement. It is abt 30 years since I did this. If you work to understand this it will bring you great certainty on what Life and Spirit are about. Fun too!

PS The petition when thru after 3 days and w hope contributed to pushing the cease fire off.
