Because of people talking about the "What the Bleep Do We know" movie, I bought it and watched it last night. A very thought provoking piece of work for sure! Here's the weird thing (or maybe not, so that's why I'm asking for some ideas on meaning) that happened today. I'm sure everyone who saw the movie remembers the scenes with the basketball. Today on my way home from work, I drive on a short street that goes through a neighborhood. There's a split rail fence perpendicular to the road and sitting next to that fence is a HUGE basketball that looked absolutely real, but was taller than the lowest rail! It was such a shock I almost drove off the road gaping at the thing! It was so obviously out of place for the neighborhood. Does anyone have any idea as to the message? Or am I just attempting to draw something from something that means nothing? It's almost like a dream where you KNOW it has meaning, but feel too dense to figure it out...

I've seen "What the Bleep..." but don't remember the basketball part of the movie. Maybe I'll have to rent it again.

The first thing that comes to mind is maybe it's a question of what is really 'real' in our world? The reason I say that is once while driving to work I saw a huge, elegant Crane standing behind a chain-link fence. As I sat and watched it hopped the fence with ease, then saundered to within a yard of the road. I so wanted to stop and look at it, but I needed to get to work. Finally, 2 miles later, I turned around and went back. The bird was still there and I sat at a long signal looking at it about a yard away from my car. Oddly, no one else seemed to see the bird as I glanced from car to car, no one else was looking at the bird. This bird stood about 3-4 feet tall, all white except for the piano key markings (black & white) on the top of its head. I have not been able to find this bird in any bird book and wonder if it was there just for me as a lesson.

Originally, when I saw the Crane and drove by it, I knew it was there for me. I tried to ignore it, but turned back knowing it would be waiting there for me. Then I sat in what seemed to be a timeless space of just the two of us looking at each other. Finally, I went around the corner knowing that when I turned the car around the bird would be gone and it was. It was a message for me and is something I have pondered for years. It was a gift that I don't yet understand, but it was happening out of time or outside of what we know as our daily existence. It was a beautiful experience.

This doesn't really answer your question, yet it feels like a similar occurence.

Debbie, very intriguing and obviously meant for you to recall the general message of the film, I'd say - putting you in the space of 'not-knowing' with humour! (Also note it was very personal to you, the basketball scene obviously doesn't stick in everyone's mind the same way!) I've not had anything quite as weird happen to me but I do find 'coincidences' seem to happen depending on what I'm thinking about at the time - just the usual opening a book at the exact page I need or turning on tv at the exact time something's on that relates to my current thoughts. Haven't had strange birds or balls appear though!

I think I'll get the video out and see what happens!

Thanks, I'll watch the movie again, too. I remember the scenes, but obviously didn't pay that close attention to what the boy was saying to her since I couldn't even quote anything that was said. Those scenes didn't say much to my conscious level, but evidently jangled some other level of my being. It will be interesting to see what other strange things appear!

Debbie, that is a neat part of the movie! The concept expressed is that until we "perceive" an object in physical reality, there is an infinite number of possibilities for where that object is located: our perception of it extinguishes the other possibilities in our dimension of spacetime.

So your beliefs and perceptions are actually choices from among an infinite number of possibilities. This is why intention is so powerful with regard to energy and manifestation. Based on your experience with the basketball, I would guess that this realization may carry a huge "AHA" for you. Sometimes intellectually appreciating a concept is a whole Universe away from HOLY SMOKES REALIZING ITS ACTUALLY IN YOUR FACE REAL!

I hope have fun and do great things with this information your inner self wants you to "grok!"

in your next QT session,expand the size of the basketball to a "suitable " size, and enter into it with your client. do the session inside the basketball. if you wish, change the color of the ball from time to time, or change the transparency of the skin, or its smell, etc.
