I recently moved to the detroit metro area in michigan. I have gone to a few metaphysical stores and each one of them has presented a bad stigma about QT. What is the cause of this? I have taken the basic course already received my graduation certificate. I have practiced this in other regions with good results no complaints. The shops here go on this no touch policy and act like they are traumatized when the word QT comes up. One particular shop said all quantum Healing is bad but from what can see was psychic surgery.They do not trust QT. What can be done to work around this hurdle. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Only they can say why but this raises another question. Is this attitude specificly towards QT or towards ANY energy works?
I have met people who tried to make fun of QT but they tend to reject most complementary therapies.These fall in two categories; those that think this is all quackery and those fearful that these are the works of some occult evil power

Wow, that's interesting. I'd ask questions of the people who respond negatively. Ask why, what their experience was. Maybe you can explain the differences between what they experienced and Quantum-Touch. Check the local and state laws about hands-on healing, some states regulate it, some don't.

G'day Ariana ,yeah i get that a bit here in Australia but really only from the religous people ,and as i say to them there pain or injury does not effect me so if they are happy to live with that pain be my guest but if they would like some amazing results open your self up and give it a go cause god has'nt fixed them up until now and chances are they could be waiting quite awhile , Ariana dont let other peoples inabitions ruin your ambitions keep doing it as we all know it works and works real well ,take care and enjoy

I am sorry you have been meeting resistance against QT, but in some ways it doesn't surprise me. I haven't been to too many metaphysical shops around here...first of all, there aren't many in my area (Flint), but you probably find a few more around the Detroit area. I know there has been some talk of legislation in MI regarding "hands on" energy work...like needing to become a licensed massage therapist, in order to do any "hands on" work. My friend is a reiki master, trying to start up her own business. She gets insurance thru International Association of Reiki Practitioners, so she is supposed to follow their guidelines. One of which is no touching any area between the shoulders and the knees ( I think, or the hips, one of the two). So, there is that consideration, too. Then, Zen also mentioned the whole Bible belt issue, as well...

My friend did come to a video workshop that I held, and while she worked with QT, felt that reiki was all she wanted to work with. Which is fine, to each their own, but I have really enjoyed working with QT, and combining it with reiki.

After talking to another store out here I did find out some reasons as to why QT is not allowed in some places. Some cities out here label QT as adult entertainment meaning anything that has to do with touching someone. IE massage therapy. That is why most stores in certain cities are not allowed to have people do any kind of energy work or else they will get fined. Just like me doing it out of my house if I lived in such city. The only places that QT or any other hands on healing work to be done in those cities are usually spas/massage parlors. ( I personally don't feel comfortable working at a place like that).

Wow, what a dilemma. It sounds like all of this is connected with the massage laws. Have you figured out yet which jurisdictions allow massage therapy? If you don't feel comfortable practicing in a spa setting, you could just set up shop on your own in one of those towns.

Some energy/light workers get around this by getting a minister's license. You can get one on the 'net easily. Maybe this is a work around for you in Michigan. Somewhere out on the 'net someone posted the state laws pertaining to energy workers like reiki practitioners. It was a few years ago that I saw it, it might still be out there.

This group is trying to get legislation passed to allow energy workers to be exempt from the medical practice law and exempt from being required to be a licensed massage therapist or work with one. There's no date on this page so I don't know where they are in getting this waiver passed. I'd contact them for more info.
