Just kistened to the Richard Gordon interview,about his 'Self Created Health' course. Sounds very much like 'Theta Healing' to me, what do you think?

I'm not familiar with the details of Theta, but I like the concepts Richard talked about. I especially valued that he operationalized facilitating people to first accept and experience self-responsibility on an emotional level, then through the concomitant grief and THEN self-forgiveness as part of his new system. This is significant in my view because these are universal issues for the deep resolution of problems.

Although the comments about EFT set-up were IMO off-base in terms of the purpose behind it (and this comes from someone who is very familiar with EFT but is not an EFT devotee), it seems he's surveyed several methods and developed something of real value.

I will say, though, that I believe any of a number of systems --including EFT and others-- are fully capable of addressing these same issues at core levels, but their protocols just don't routinely direct attention to these areas. Knowing that Richard's method is designed with this specifically in mind wins points without my even knowing the specific details of the method.

Also, if he has developed a systematic progression of questions which quickly uncover the mindbody issues behind symptoms, this could potentially benefit a lot of methods beyond his.

I know of two lines of questioning which have served me well so far:
1. What was going on in your life around the time these symptoms or this condition showed up?
1.a. Did that remind you of an earlier experience?

2. How do you experience this condition?
2.a. How is it impacting your lifestyle?
2.b. What other life situation(s) had a similar effect on you?

While these usually get to the issues at hand pretty well, I'm always ready to learn of new ways to uncover what is behind the "presenting problem." I hope this training travels or will be teleseminar or webinar-based. If it is, I'll be getting in the queue to sign up!
