Hi Everyone!
I wonder if anyone can tell me what this might mean? I am working with a lady who has never had any affinity to any particular colour, she wears a lot of black but apart from that has never 'loved' or 'loathed' any colours. Suddenly everything she has/buys/wears has to have pink in it - even the frames she chose for her new glasses had to be pink! I have no idea what - if anything - this might mean but told her I'd ask around - any ideas??? Thanks in advance, Love & Laughter, Jan x |

In the Chinese 5-element system, black is correlated with Kidney energy/fear or anxiety. Not sure if this applies here since pink is not part of the 5-element system and I'm not sure you can mix & match different systems - but bouncing over to the chakra system, pink of course has to do with an aspect of the heart chakra expressing love - so maybe her heart chakra has opened, transmuting her anxiety (if that is an issue for her).

Hello all... new to the board and Quantum Touch. I have been reading the boards and learning from all of you. My gratitude to all who take the time to post. I agree with Jocelyn that pink signifies love. However, technically speaking, in the chakra system, the heart chakra is represented by green. Perhaps your client has this new affinity for pink because on an unconscious level (or not) it is the energy she is wanting to amplify and resonate with. Whatever it is... it's wonderful that she's just going with it. |

It may mean that the energy made her more sensitive to suppressed tastes in color but sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and there is no need to think about it at all.
I tell my patients to just go with it and not to analyse it a lot. Just enjoy it. Be well. |

I would consider pink a shade of red, which relates to the fire element. The emotion associated with this element is joy, and the organs are the heart/pericardium and small intestine/triple burner. The heart is about love and joy, and is also the "emperor" who is ultimately in charge. The pericardium is the sac that protects the heart, or the emperor's personal guard. The small intestine also has to do with deciding what is important; what to keep and what to let go. The triple burner is about the "waterways" throughout the body, and I think of it as about the integration and interaction between all the organs. Also about the immune system/protection.

Quote: In many books on the chakras, the heart can be either pink or green or both. For instance, watermelon quartz (green and pink) is a stone associated with the heart chakra. sue |

I know from personal experience that I always feel better when I wear pink, lighter, renewed, vibrant...and if it's a light shade of pink, I tend to feel more playful and youthful. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth in this case.

When I was first learning shiatsu, I learned that you should pay attention to anything that jumps out at you. This definitely seems to be a jumper-outer-atter!
I had an interesting experience once with color - I had lived in L.A. for a number of years, and I found that most clothes I bought were some shade of red. I would go to the store thinking, "I MUST buy something in a different color today --" and I would invariably come home with a new red item. Then I moved to New York. After about a year I looked up and realized that everything I had was black. I would go to the store and think, "I MUST buy something with a little color today --" and would invariably end up with another black item. I definitely think there is a significance to strong tendencies toward a specific color! |

In line with Sue's and Jocelyn's comments, my nonphysical friends, when suggesting color visualizations for healing, referred to pink as "love and healing." Goes right along with what's been said. For most of my life, I hadn't cared much for pink, in any shade. Then I suddenly was greatly attracted to it, and it came up in many healing meditations. This started happening about the same time as I "discovered" crystals.
I think that when we suddenly develop an interest like this, we should just follow to see how/if it develops further. It may just be an expression of how we're feeling at the time, it may have practical value in focusing healing efforts, or it may, as the crystals did for me, point us in some new directions. It's an interesting time... Love and healing, Marian |
