Yes you could, and to good effect. In fact, one cool thing about QT is that you can combine it with any other modality for enhanced healing. In all the years of teaching many thousands of students of countless modalities, no one ever told me their approach was not improved upon when combining it with QT.

I participated on the Matrix Energetics forums for a while. I never really did run across anyone who was successful at doing it. They report miraculous things during the workshops--which are always taught by the same two guys, by the way--but they have difficulty replicating the same results outside of the workshop.

I'm sure this comes as a big shock to you who know me, but that makes me a bit suspicious. It really sounds fascinating. I was considering taking a class but the reports of others on their forum dissuaded me.

There is an interesting side note to this story. I watched a video that they had on their website and it showed that Dr. William Tiller was attending one of their workshops. He was sitting in the front row and they even showed his name on the video. I later asked Dr. Tiller for his opinion on Matrix Energetics and he couldn't remember attending! I tried to refresh his memory but he was steadfast in saying that he didn't recall ever going to such an event. That's very odd behavior.

I too have met people that have taken this course and many report that while they could do it to some degree during the class, were unable to replicate it later.

Some that could replicate it noted that the ability faded over time. It is common to have to repeat this methods course 3 or 4 times in order to be consistent at all with it.

Of course there are some people that "get it" and they are what continues to push it. Richard Bartlett has gotten a lot of exposure from Coast to Coast after his book came out.

Jody (my wife) took the course and upon leaving was unable to duplicate the process.

I am sure it is a wonderful process but even one of the partners (who is no longer affiliated with the company by the by) took 5 years to duplicate what R. Bartlett was doing.

Just my observations on this process.

So.. what do you each think is going on there then? Do you think it's something that just one can do and initiates the others?

You more or less absorb the process by osmosis. That is being in the "vibe" long enough you start to get it. While Bartlett says he doesn't know how he does it he does know when you "have it", he simply doesn't "teach" that way as he desires to reach hundreds per class and that is the way you make lots of money.

The last class that I had feedback about had 500 people in it. The student said they felt the class was useful but it was daunting with so many people and is very "show" like as everyone is supposed to clap and get excited when R. Bartlett comes in and does things. He says he doesn't use "Qi" but he builds the energy in the room so high with his antics that of course he is using Qi, just from a different perspective.

He is quite the showman that is for sure.

Wow...several hundred people in a class, each paying several hundred dollars to be there. Factor in the fact that hardly anyone ever "gets it" the first time, and the fact that there are several levels of courses to take....that adds up to a huge pile of money. Even if all 500 of those people got the pre-registration discount, that still adds up to over $150,000 just for that class!

That makes me even more suspicious. I guess I shouldn't presume anything and I shouldn't say anything negative, but that does concern me.

I also can't help but think that Dr. Tiller's amnesia regarding that event was a way of distancing himself from them. Still, why not admit to being there even if you later decide there wasn't anything to it? That's very odd.

To be fair he does have aides demonstrating through the group, I don't know the ratio. But the technique does work it is simply not totally "instantaneous". The moment they change within maybe but it still takes time to process and you do the process over and over again.

I understand, when he does private clients, a session is 20 min +. Realize the Bartlett is a Chiropractor.

The concepts are great and certainly some people do get it. It is just that it is by no means straight forward at all.

It does sound like a very interesting approach! I just wish there were some way to make the results a little more consistent. If it were more easily replicable, I'd probably take one of the classes just to try it out.

What i found interesting was the fact that he was using the gamma brainwave state when he was performing the healing techqniques.....
usually we use alpha,beta,theta,delta brainwaves, but he was using the gamma brainwaves instead.... we should try using brainwave bineural beats in order to see what the effects are when applying healing???

I've watched a couple of online videos, but I dislike the 'high' excited energy generated and the 'show' of getting people to pass out - that's dangerous, in my opinion. And yes, it seems this is something that is very hard for anyone else to fully learn and use outside of the workshops. I spent some time learning about it, online, and talked to someone (a QTer) who had learned it. You have to be very confident and creative, mentally, to really 'get' it, I think.

I spent some time on their message boards and didn't like the way people talked almost entirely about the workshops, getting to the next one - it seemed almost like a cult to me. Few people ever posted about actually using the techniques demonstrated, and none as successfully as Bartlett. The 'magic' may be something only he can really do!
