I haven't tried that but sex is usually draining on the qi so unless you know for sure, I would not make a habit of that.

It is probably intense because you are loosing qi at a fast rate.

I would be interested in hearing more people's experiences on this topic. Richard mentions it briefly in the first QT book, but not much detail in how, where, what techniques work best, etc.

Just a couple of thoughts: First it is not sex itself that is draining on the qi, but rather ejaculation for men and menstruation for women. This is why some Taoist energy practices are geared toward preserving the qi by training women to reduce the amount of blood loss and men to orgasm without ejaculation (except, of course, when he is trying to procreate).
From what I understand, Tantra basically focuses on using energy circulation to intensify pleasure, but the qi is then lost as usual, while "Taoist Dual Cultivation" (or solo cultivation as the case may be) uses the qi to intensify the experience, but then stores it in the tan tien, so qi is not only not lost, but actually increased.

When we're doing Quantum-Touch, energy/qi is being continually replenished, there is no draining of energy.

Combining sex with running energy was written about in the 1930's by J. William Lloyd, who wrote a book on a sexual practice known as Karezza (Italian for 'to caress or cuddle'). Similar in principal to Tantra or Taoist methods but developed independently in the states in the 19th century, from a Christian perspective.

Look under the 'sacred sexuality' section and scroll down, 'Karezza Ethics of Marrige' by Alice Stockham and 'The Karezza Method' by Lloyds are the most interesting two I think. The third by John Humphrey Noyes explains how these ideas developed, initially as a form of contraception he later realised there were other benefits.

The energetic aspects of lovemaking are deep and profound. There are a number of ways one can enhance communication and sensation between partners to emphasize the sacred aspect of union.

One thing I will say is that when one approaches sacred union from the perspective of what one can offer rather than of what one can get, the experience not only no longer drains you, it energizes you.

Has anyone tried sex with Unconditional Love, and I do mean UNCONDITIONAL, absolutely PURE by both parties.
We found it gave us unlimited energy. (as long as you like) and the intensity was so great that it really blew our minds and we both had OOBE and kept on making love from there!
