The bible of Chinese medicine, The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine says:

The Wise Physician cures diseases before they develop, rather than after they manifest.

I opened my last workshop with that quotation, we discussed it, people said: how come! How could we do it?

Latter, during the exercices, "A" was runnig QT on a sore shoulder, after some time the "client" said she had a strong sensation on her wrist, it was pulsating and some pain. She said she did not have any problem on her wrist.
I asked what she did for living, she said she was an artisan, so she used her wrist a little too much.

Ata that point the students got the meaning of the quotation. There was no manifestation of a problem yet, so she was been cured of a problem on her wrist ahead of a manifestation.
