I have been asked to work on a horse whose hips keep getting out of alignment. So far, I've only read the book 3 times and watched the video twice and practiced on willing friends & family. Has anyone worked on an animal? I think a small animal would not be a problem but a horse? Any help or pointers would be appreciated!

Animals are no different than people as far as how to approach a problem. Animals in general tend to respond faster than people as they generally have fewer issues around being healthy.

Just offer the energy and let the process unfold size is not an issue at all.

I have had the privilege of working on a vERY LARGE horse - I had to stand on a bucket!!! He had had a bad fall and had not been himself for a while and hips were out and painful. My friend and I worked either side and opposite from each other. The whole of the hip area rolled back and forth as we worked. Weworked for about an hour and he loved it - getting very sleepy. Since that one treatment he has been fine, jumping all his old jumps and full of vigour. There were some emotional issues surrounding the cause of the fall which we ascertained were embarrasment and fear which we worked on with EFT up and down his spine. He was a horse who had never made a mistake before.

I have never worked with horses before and was a bit scared at first, but am so glad I did.

Go for it!!!

Love
Wendy

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I worked on 3 horses Thursday and 1 human! The first horse was a real cut-up and tried to bite me a few times so I left him and went to the second horse. She took the session very well, yawning & droopy eyes. After I worked with the rider they both tried out their new alignment and all was well. The owner was so impressed she asked me to work on another horse. Then she asked me to return next week to do more work on others. This is just too cool!

Thanks again

Hi Nance,
Welcome to the 'fambly'. Smiler
Great job with your healers - you rock!
Feels good to be able to help, eh?
You might try starting with distance work for animals that are skittish/difficult.
Just put them in miniature between your loose hands, or put your hands around the imagined body part and run energy like ususal.
Remember to keep breathing and sweeping continuously and drink your water.
We look forward to hearing more.
