Hello everyone!
I've been practicing various energy healing methods for about 3 years now (Q-T for almost a year) and I notice that some people have fantastic results while others have minimal or even no results. I was wondering if this diversity of results might be due to limiting beliefs held by those who don't respond as well. For instance, my mother used to hold a belief that "miracles cures don't happen" and I never had very good results with her until I helped her change that belief. Any thoughts? Love to all! Jason |

very interesting, Jason. I am one who can neither use QT nor be much affected by it - though I was much helped on one occasion.
I'm sure it is due to limiting beliefs. I wish I could change mine but I do not know how! |

Jason: Some of my most miraculous QT successes were on people who wondered if I was "all there" or out in "la la land". What I was telling them I was going to do was to them unbelievable. Check out my "Healing Stories" blog about the "Liver Transplant Averted". The client is not necessarily the one who must believe, although a strong desire to be healed does help...WE must believe it ourselves so that our intent is strong and focused.
However, if someone is determined in their mind that they will NOT be healed, their intent may be strong enough to prevent it. I remember hearing about a woman whose blindness was cured by an energy healer...then she decided when she learned that the man who did the healing session was not a Christian, what happened must have been of the Devil...and her blindness then came back. Malcome: Practice changing you mind about other things, then focus on a negative belief. Don't fight with it and make it hard work.
"That which is altered by force, tends to persist!" You wont win that way! Changing one's mind is the easiest thing in the world because ideas are so volatile and light (almost no mass). Unfortunately, perhaps the hardest thing in the world is to bring yourself to the point where you are WILLING to do this! Limiting beliefs are often subtle and complex and can affect all one's life and healing results. They are set up for max. effect and max. defense of themselves! Huggie |

If illness is serving some purpose for a person, (attention...getting out of work....disability or welfare money....psychological reasons which are legion) that person may not heal. But I can tell you that I didn't believe energy work could help me and it certainly did, my "beliefs" notwithstanding. After that happened to me I studied it and have come 180 degrees in what I now believe. QT or other energy work can do wonders and marvels, even for disbelievers. But there is a certain segment of population who are so well- served by illness and disability that they may not be able change or heal.
Hope this helps. Ali Practitioner and Instructor http://healinghandsminnesota.com Turn your face to the sun -- The shadows fall behind. |

Thank you all for your wonderful replies. I have worked with several people who didn't believe in what I was doing and yet received wonderful results, so I do know that belief in the technique isn't required. However, I tend to agree with Ali in that beliefs that produce a secondary gain might be capable of preventing results. For example, one client of mine blocked all my attempts to help her migraines because she was addicted to pain medication and wanted to get to the ER for some pills.

It seems to me you are basically talking about emotional resistance to change here. I suggest sending energy to these emotions/the person for resolution of the emotional imbalance and their happiness.
When energy is offered with love and allowing and letting things open of their own accord then all things become possible. Alain Herriott instructor (advanced QT classes) |

That's a good suggestion, Alain. I'll definitely try that next time. Thanks!

It makes perfect sense that sometimes people are too attached to other "payoffs" to allow themselves to heal. I think that's an excellent point above and probably is true in many of those cases.
Personally, I also believe in the element of karma as a factor. In the case of "payoffs," there is the person's desire to gain something from staying sick, which originates from within them as an egoic drive - often to detriment. However, there is also God / Divinity's plan and if there are lessons and personal growth within that plan that we are supposed to use to overcome some karmic lesson or grow from otherwise, perhaps healing may not be as forthcoming. Is that to say that God blocks the healing from happening? Perhaps not. I suppose I like to think of it as our (higher) Selves (or that which is connected with God) recognizing, beneath conscious thought, that the time just isn't right yet. Maybe in cases where this might be the reason it might help to (a) offer energy in some way toward whatever learning process is needed and (b) recommend the client/healer open his or herself up to introspection and contemplation which may reveal the places where he/she may need to grow or heal spiritually in order to move ahead. The worst situations or conditions in life often allow for the most spiritual (and non-spiritual) growth. When we allow the growth, we open up more to the healing. When we resist the growth, the resistance creates an inertial tendency to remain where we are. Just throwing this out there and bear in mind that I'm still pretty new to healing (and especially QT). Thoughts? Tim |
