In the book it mentions that you can use LD techniques to treat yourself- on areas you can't reach. I find it intuitive to do a body sweep and then instead of pushing it to my hands, pushing the energy to the area that I'm trying to work with.

Is it better to visualize the part and let my intentions do the directing? Any comments on this would be appreciated?

Also, in the book Gordon states that LD isn't as effective for structural problems. Is this a hard and fast rule, or like other things, are there some who can and some who can't?

thanks for any help

That can work. In the couse of our lives, we put so much attention and awareness in our hands, they naturally become extremely good places to run energy through. We will normally run a tremendously stronger energy through our hands than almost any other part of the body.

You need to bring as much sensation through the various sweeps, and link it with the breathing techniques. Intention is fine, but bringing sensation takes it beyond the realm of simply imagining.

BTW, working on yourself becomes far more effective when using the core transformation work taught by Alain.

You are right, it is not a hard and fast rule.
