I've taken the Workshop and read the book. I'm on my way.

However, I can feel more energy and generate energy quicker and stronger when I'm standing.

When I'm sitting, I can't generate or feel as much. I can feel it from my shoulders up. But when sitting, I can't feel the sweep in my legs or abdomen.

Any comments or suggestions welcome.

It is great that you are paying attention. I suggest that you do what works for you. Keep experimenting and you will discover many ways of improving your sessions.

hey,

I can say that i share the same experiences that you do. I have better energy flow - if you will- wither lying or standing. When i am sitting i can not feel the same "sweep" flow. I have not been thru the QT workshop as of yet, but I am a Reiki II practioner. I was taught that energy best flows in straight lines and relaxed muscles. I am a Massage therapist and we work alot with body mechanics - ergonomics - when preforming massage. We are taught that the best grounding and energy flow is when the body is in alignment and in a "non-tense" state. I believe that is why in the book and in the workshops as the book has stated, and others have made a point of, that keeping your hands relaxed and keep breathing the energy will flow more fluidly. We were giventhe example: a stream - the path of least resistance - the water will flow smoothly with out any bend, or curves or bumps along the way. Another example throwing a pebble in a still "relaxed looking" pond cause ripples - a change in the flow.

I do believe that with more practice and with awareness - that you/I will be able to feel the flow of energy sitting or standing or whatever - as one becomes more familiar and fluent with QT...... this is just my opinion from other experiences with energy work. I am new to QT but look forward to incorporating it in all my massag sessions as i become more seasoned with the modality.

Best healing wishes,

Kim

It is my experience that with practice of the breathing and sweeping, you can be equally effective while sitting. Bob Rasmusson who taught me to run energy was so incredibly successful with this work, that I would call him a "master". He did most of his sessions while sitting.

It makes no real difference as far as being able to run the energy. Initially its easier to visualize a flow when standing, but after you get used to it there should be little or no difference.
