My question is while using Quantum-Touch is the practitioner quiet or is there talking during a session?

I have been a certified Shiatsu Therapist for the last 9+ years. I talk through most of my sessions. I tell new clients what I am doing and why and I talk about whatever comes to mind while working on friends. I believe it helps most people relax and opens them up to relating what might be going on in their minds while I am working on them. The people I work on soon become friends.

Talking to you client is fine, however it is difficult to talk and do the breathing at the same time. Taking a moment or two to ask questions or to make a point is fine, but it is the breathing that keeps your system from entraining to them vs them entraining to the higher energy flow that is created by the sweep and breath. It is also that which generates the "flow" to begin with.

Hi gentlehands,

Take it from Alain he knows what he is talking about.

With Quantum-Touch you can do all your talking before starting your healing session to make your client feel more at ease.

Put yourself in your client's shoes, would you want to be in an atmosphere of constant chatter, or one that would be more soothing and relaxing to the nervious system?

Just ask your clients to relax and breathe deeply while focussing on the area that you are working on for a deeper healing experience.

Some background meditation music can also help with relaxation.

This is not intended to offend anyone who feels the need to talk a lot during a healing session.

Have a happy 4th of July everyone,

Linda

I was feeling that what you said was true but wanted my feelings to be confirmed. This is a new modality for me and somewhat different than Shiatsu. Thank you for responding to my question.

Thanks Linda for your imput. Sometimes I feel like a chatterbox. In the past I have not really had to concentrated on breathing, but with Quantum-Touch I do. Once I get use to using Quantum-Touch my sessions should be quieter. I can really see the benefit and hope I will be able to make the change.

I'm sure you will be doing great, just keep breathing and sweeping.

Have a wonderful day,

Linda

Hello, this is all a game of concentration, breathing and feeling sensations. Its better to b quiet and keep on balanced breathing.

But if you can do this successfully while some talking, its OK.
I also did some chatting while Q.T with my wife or children but a little. In my experience talking more decrease Q.T energy, but this is my personal experience. You may have same results both ways.

I have found often the client goes to sleep as the healing really kicks in, so talking then isn't really an option! I love being quiet, I find the breathing so much more natural then and get into a rhythm, and only ask questions occasionally or answer the client if they ask something or tell me to move.

I think you'll enjoy the quiet once you've done a few sessions and realise there's no demands being made on you to entertain anyone. I think people generally like the chance to just enjoy the energy and relaxation and not have to say anything! I always check from time to time they're comfortable and o.k but only when I need to reassure myself!

Have fun and enjoy the whole process, it's so gentle, easy and effective!

best wishes,
Jane

I have now been able to watch all four sessions on the CD and understand more about what is going on. I worked through the sessions with my husband and 5 yr old daughter. It was a very insightful experience.

I have used QT during my latest sessions and have already had good results. Thank you!

My chiropractor has shown an interest in learning about QT and using it as he builds a new business with less adjustments and more natural healing. I'm sure QT will be hearing from him soon.
