Hi folks,
Many of you who've "been around" the forum know that I've been very active here off and on (I think mostly on) for about the last almost five years. It's been such a rich environment with interesting people with whom to discuss Quantum Touch in all its wonderful basic, intermediate and advanced techniques, energy and alternative healing, and play/experiment/learn/teach/share with a group of neat and lovely people interested in helping themselves and/or humankind heal.

In my own path, I chose not to pursue certification, not because I don't believe in, support and promote Quantum Touch (I think I've steered a fair number of people to the forum, buying materials and attending workshops, perhaps even some of you reading this post), but because I am eclectic; forever learning, researching, developing, experimenting and synthesizing new techniques and methods: it's just in my blood. The fact that I still post here and promote QT speaks VOLUMES about its value.

I was thinking about this the other day when reading about someone having difficulty with some aspect of QT technique. I started to respond, and then thought to myself "How many totally competent and gifted QT practitioners and/or instructors frequent this forum who can totally answer this question? Dozens?" I thought about this in the context of thinking about QT as a method and movement as much as or more than I was --as usual-- thinking about helping the people who post here with questions, problems, injuries or illnesses, or about my own growing through sharing.

I've been reading about how difficult some practitioners and instructors are finding making a living during this economically challenging period and thinking "Well, this QT forum is just the place for them to be showing their skill, professionalism and compassion to those just learning from the book or dvd, or who just happened to stumble across the web site forum looking for healing help." And it is!

It's for that reason --and not because I don't care about those seeking help (that's in my blood too!)-- that I'm going to continue to keep a much lower profile than I have at times in terms of answering questions about how to do QT. I'm going to leave it to those who are acknowledged by QT as chartered and certified experts: the practitioners and instructors. This seems right and timely to me as QT looks to find ways to advance itself as an organization and a movement.

I'll still be around and will happily offer input and sharing that doesn't encroach upon the QT brand, since I'm definitely no official spokesperson and there are plenty here to fulfill that role admirably (and several who already do). Oh, well I might not be able to help myself sometimes if it really seems a post might have been overlooked, but for the most part, I'll happy to just share what I have to share here and there.

Those of you who ARE practitioners/instructors, why not use this forum to show your professionalism and competence and caring? Your positive vibration will surely attract referrals!

Alfred, Sorry to read your post since I have benefited greatly by reading your posts. My home page is riddled with your suggestions. I can not afford the courses offered or books, dvd, etc. But, I do understand and thank you for the gift of your knowledge, my orb. and other blessings I have received. Thank you.

alfred I hope you stay connected exactly as you have. I get alot of benefit from your posts, and would not like to lose a long time contrbutor. Things don,t work as well when you remove a main pillar. Your friends in the Fambly have all used your ideas and information to their individual benefit. You are an important part of what we value. There's a lot of uses of QT developed by posters on this forum that aren't in the books or in the classes. Alfred's orbs are a wonderful example. The "Drano" technique for starting energy flow posted here a year ago. The "hand resonance" we've been using in the Healing Circle. Nevertheless, I respect Alfred's decision and understand how he feels.

I understand how you feel but I assure you that your posts have always been highly esteemed by most participants and highly inspirational to many.

I'm really appreciative of you kind words and regard. This really isn't about not participating in the forums anymore, but more about getting out of the way of one means for QT practitioners and instructors to engage newbies about QT. I'll still be posting, for sure!

BTW, Sorry to get off the subject, but I wanted to clarify about the orbs: they are not related or affiliated with QT. They were developed by independent Reiki master Ole Gabrielsen. Also, it wasn't I who introduced them to the forum. Once they had been introduced, however, I did get involved because I had received mine years earlier, studied with Ole, and belonged to a group of his former students who have been working with the orbs since he developed them in 2005. I wanted to help ensure those who received them understood more about them and share what we'd learned beyond Ole's notes.
