Hey everybody! I was cutting some dacron, it's a kind of tough material used in sails for sailboats. Anyway, I was cutting a lot of the stuff on Tuesday with some scissors. At the end of the day, my right thumb was numb. Remember, this was on Tuesday, it's Friday morning now and it feels just about the same. I was reading up on it and it was definitely pointing towards Carpal Tunnel. I'm a healthy, youthful 25 year old guy. Any advice? Should I do the tripod? And will visualizing the energy flowing make it stronger? Should I breathe till my body buzzes? -Thanks in advance -Sam : )

I have also been diagnosed with carpal tunnel problems on both hands. Neurologist recommends surgery on both. I had everyone work on my wrists at a recent video workshop, but am still having problems. I will be happy to send you some energy knowing that I'm doing it partially for selfish reasons! As Q-T says, we receive healing ourselves when we work on others. Jose Silva said that whenever we send a thought (positive or negative) we maintain a blueprint of that thought in our own minds. Good luck to you and may you experience excellent health soon.

Many other successful methods of working with carpal tunnel syndrome actually point at the back of the neck and the shoulders as the root of the problem. So I would send energy there too.

Carpal tunnel syndrome can also be caused by compression of the median nerve as it traverses from the neck to the wrist and hand. In addition to the neck and shoulder, as Jody mentioned, I'd work on the forearm around the elbow, and any areas along the path which feel tight and/or painful to the touch.

Hey, Sam....using QT on yourself? ...I remember a post a while ago, where someone suggested visualizing a small image of themselves applying QT to themselves specifically to the area(s) involved. This method, she said, produced results. Many posts I've read says that it is much more challenging to get results on yourself. I've had pretty strong thumb pain and weakness in the past, with arthritic changes, etc. before doing QT on patients; it was basically gone now after doing QT regularly (2-3x per day, total of about 2 hours ) for 2 months. I think that the thing that is helping it is that I can direct the feeling of energy into my arms and through my hands (INCLUDING THE THUMBS). That might be the key...start treating anything: plants, etc, but when directing through your hands, be sure to direct through thumbs. If possible, include as much of your arms, and base of neck too. The most powerful results I've had have been when I can direct energy up back to top of head, and then down the back of head, into back of neck base and feel it down the shoulder blades and into arms and hands/thumbs. Good luck!!
