We don't know the limits of this work. It is certainly possible that it may help. Give it a try and let us know what occurs.

I am so happy to be able to share some of the great experiences I have had with QT! I work primarily on horses but frequently use QT to change bone structure particularly in the skull (face). Many many horses have eyes that are uneven...higher or lower and sometimes even rotated to the side. By using QT I am able to get the structures to get back to original alignment. First I touch lightly with fingertips directly above each eye at the same time. I feel for a connection as I begin to run energy...then I lightly draw my fingers away from the skin as much as possible withour losing contact, I hold the idea that my fingers are magnets and the skin/bone underneath is drawn ever so slightly outwards with the magnetic connection that exists between myself and the horse. I am creating a space to invite the change to take place. Almost all of the time the high side needs to move downward, as it is being drawn upward by restricted fascia tissue. As you work use that magnetic draw to gently invite the tissue underneath to relax downward. On the low side I just run the energy with no agenda so the occipital bones can move as desired. Good luck and have fun!
P.S.( I have been using Fascia release for the same result for years but using the method with QT as described above is quicker.....) |

Hi James1,
From a craniosacral or osteopathic point of view, the bones of the cranium, face, jaw etc are capable of shifting and moving in very subtle but profound ways. An imbalance in the cranial bones can manifest in the appearance of what you described. I find that QT is very helpful in helping the cranial bones realign themselves. Often I use it in conjunction with craniosacral techniques, but I don't think it's necessary in order to effect a change. Another thing to keep in mind is that cranial bones can become misaligned due to misalignment of structures down below...ie, neck, spine, hips, knees and feet. So you may only be looking at the tip of the iceberg. Cassandra |

What you are discribing sounds to me like a craniosacral technique I have been taught. Can't remember the name but it is something like "frontal pull".
But wathever the name or the technique it sounds great! marina |

Good point! With horses I have found most often misalignments in other areas of the body as well.......sort of a zigzag effect. Alot of times the pattern looks like Right eye, left TMJ, right side wither/shoulder and then left hip/stifle (stifle is like a knee of a human) I am just beginning to learn about these patterns of pain....any input???

I learned this technique because I have fibromyalgia and it was used on me.....I spent many months in physical therapy and learned many of the techniques I use because they were effective for me. The other techniques I have added have been learned from books and tapes....since learning QT I am sold! I have been a bodyworker for 13 years and have not seen the types of results I wanted or expected...I have always sought to find a technique that I could use to help facilitate healings at a cellular/energy level.......QT is IT!

Would that be like a scoliosis in horses? BTW I briefly did some massage work on horses years ago, just for my own experience. Nothing compares to the feeling I would get when I made a horse drool.

Quote: you gave me a wonder picture in my head of a horse so relaxed that it was drooling, I'll almost bet it's eyes were no where in focusing position either, like rolled to the back of the head somewhere out there in la la land. LOL |

Horses are great droolers...and love energy work....interesting fact...a humans 1/12 lb(?)heart puts out an electro-magnetic field outside the body that can be measured 2 to 3 ft out. The field increases when a person feels positive love, gratitude, joy etc... A Horses heart weighs 14-22 lbs.....we can see where they are so GOOD AT HEALING....their electro-magnetic fields must be massive....at NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association)
convention there was a lot of interest in projection of electro-magnetic fields.....www.heartmath.com was asked if they would consider generating stats on horses............... Bye the bye I posted pics of a horses eyes and face that were asymetrical on website if anyone is interested....couldn't get the horse to put her face exactly square but think you can see the change....had two observers who both definitely saw the diff and were impressed. http://www.pathwaysequine.com/wst_page6.html |

pnygal,
those are great pictures of proof. did the horse show any signs of relief of pain after wards? like feel better not so grumpy? better balance? ect reason why I ask I know of a horse my husband was training on and he is a cross of arab and QH and he has a very distinct eye level one is about 1 1/2 -2 inches higher than the other, and he is very defiant and angry. just wonder if this is why? how did you do QT to the area? what were your hand possitions and breathing tech proceedure? |

Hell Riosyellowrose-
Yes-yes-yes....in my experience horses with bones misaligned in the face/skull appear to have headaches. Most often you will also see a "yawing" eye. One eye will appear to be held open by the eyelid muscles to a point where you can see white around the eye. The eyelid will often appear to be tented over the eye. My original post #5674 describes the release I used to adjust Star's eye...the horse in before/after pics. Read post and feel free to email me if you need more info pnygal@earthlink.com. Horses can appear to be mean and defiant if they are dealing with high levels of pain....but unfortunately there are many horses who have also come to be resentful and mistrustful of humans. A good way to tell the difference is if the horse is happy and compliant on the ground and becomes otherwise under saddle, you probably have a pain/fear issue. P.S. Many horses who have had it tough with humans have "people wrinkles" These are a series of concentric wrinkles found around and above the top of the nostrils (can be reduced by using fascia releases). I have noticed these wrinkles also on older wiser horses-like the therapeutic riding horses I work with. |
