I have just started reading the book Quantum Touch and have visited the forum a few times and am still mystified why Reiki seems to be lacking (or how it is QT is so much better) if we are dealing with THE energy system, what makes QT such a turbo charged delivery system and the others not.
those who care to may email me at wisystema.apexmail.com
thank you.

Although I have never studied Reiki, I have studied energy therapies with Barbara Brennan, Roselyn Bruyere. I also worked with acupuncturists in an office for almost 3 years. We had a Medical Intuitive, who could see energy, oversee each treatment session we had with our patients and give us feedback on what worked, and what didn't.

I was so impressed with Qt I changed my entire practice over 4 weeks after my 1st class. My clients all say they can feel it more.

My observation has been:
1) you learn physically to generate much more energy, much faster than any class I've taken in 14 years
2) the technique keeps you more grounded and less likely to attrain to your client's field
3) It is delivered in a way that is incredibly easy to learn for any complete Beginner - even those who do not know what energy is - ask my husband.
4) It works faster and holds longer, because you are running more energy, sooner.
5) It is WAY WAY cheaper than most other classes - Roselyn's classes total something like $25,000 by the time you get through
6) It take all the smoke and mirrors away - You really do not have to spend years in a Buddhist Monastery in Nepal to do this work

I could go on for an hour. One BIG point, that we learned working with our Medical Intuitive, is that the body will guide the energy where it is needed. No matter how much the practitioner wants to be in control, the client's body will guide you better than your Will does.
I love that this is emphasized in QT, so many others miss that part.

I am not formally associated with the QT office in any way. So I'm not getting paid to write this. I've just taken the video workshop. I am working on my certification though, and can't wait to try the Supercharging and Core Transformation classes.

Thanks for the reply. I am curious as to the WHY QTworks so much better...I am aware of Bruyere's work when she did research with Valarie Hunt at ucla (usc?).
Reiki uses "symbols" and such...part of the smoke and mirrors?
does this really inhibit the work? What about TT and Healing Touch, what are their smoke and mirrors.
I have made a commitment to get some work done on me before I sign up for a course, just to check it out.
I am under the assumption that it's all the same energy, why is the QT delivery system better?

I posted this once before, but these are the fundamental differences between QT and Reiki and what some of our students have had to say:

There are numerous differences between QT and Reiki. I've received dozens of letters from Reiki Masters explaining how QT compares with Reiki. Most Reiki practitioners will use QT with Reiki for even better results. Here are the primary differences between QT and Reiki:

Unlike Reiki, Quantum-Touch has no attunements or symbols. Quantum-Touch is a natural and innate skill that can be learned with simple breathing and body awareness techniques. These techniques allow the Quantum-Touch practitioner to powerfully focus and amplify the life-force energy.

Practitioners of Quantum-Touch dont become drained or tired from doing sessions. When I interviewed Reiki masters, about 40% reported that they had occasionally felt energy going up their arm, or had become tired and drained. This is a function of the practitioner entraining or matching to the clients vibration. Without a skill to hold a high vibration, Reiki practitioners may at times become drained.

Ive taught Quantum-Touch to numerous chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists and osteopaths who have been astounded to observe rapid structural realignment, reduction of inflammation, and other benefits. Reiki is rarely fast or impressive enough to impress these skeptical health care professionals.

Reiki masters who have taken my workshops have nicknamed Quantum-Touch, Reiki empowerment or turbo charging the Reiki. I got a laugh when one of my students wrote in the review of my workshop that Quantum-Touch was "like Reiki on steroids." Both systems use the same life-forced energy. The Quantum-Touch practitioner learns to focus the energy like a laser, which takes concentration, body awareness and breath.

Reiki is passed on from Master to Master and there is no control of the quality or accuracy of the information from generation to generation. As a result, what is taught may become change or become diluted with countless schools or approaches.

"When I combine Quantum-Touch with Reiki, my results are far more effective. Quantum-Touch awakens the magic in your hands."
-- Roni Frank, Reiki Master, Boulder Creek, CA

"Quantum-Touch greatly surprised me! I wasnt expecting the class to be as wonderful as it was! I received a miraculous healing of my back! Im a Reiki Master and compared to Reiki, Quantum-Touch is surprisingly fast."
-- Betty Clegg, Lombard, CA

"Of our nine class members one was not a Reiki practitioner. We all felt this class enhanced and augmented our abilities and understanding. We all flew with this class!"
-- Daniele DeVoe, Frankfort, MI

Quantum-Touch magnifies and intensifies Reiki. It was wonderful to be able to spend the time practicing on each other and feeling the benefits of such a powerful energy. Thank You.
-- Suzanne Schartz, Aurora, CO

"For energy medicine practitioners, Quantum-Touch amplifies the effects of Reiki and other hands-on-healing techniques. For the layman, Quantum-Touch empowers the individual to tap into the innate healing abilities we all possess."
-- Ellen DiNucci, M.A. Project Coordinator
Complementary and Alternative Medicine Program at Stanford University

An awesome experience for the skeptic in all of us!!! Its Reiki on steroids and without all the ritual. I like how pure it is.
-- Gary J., Boise, ID

My energy was intensified to a level I never experienced with Reiki. I feel I have found what I was searching for to further my mission of 'helping others be their highest self possible.' I recommend anyone seeking healing or becoming a better person take this workshop."
-- Vicktor E. Ransom, Tacoma, WA

"Ive been a Reiki teacher and practitioner for years, and this was a definite next step for me to ramp up my ability to run energy.
-- Paula Battaglio, Chicago, IL

I have studied a variety of energy techniques and prayer-healing, Reiki, Chi gung. This helped increase my effectiveness and confidence.
-- Margaret Gorman, RN, Carmichael, CA

Very informative and energetic! Richard has a very simple, easy method that shows instant results for the participant. I found several new ways to increase my energy flow beyond my Reiki skills.
-- Gary Morris, Eugene, OR

Ok, we are getting closer to what I asked in the first place. I was hoping maybe someone triained in Reiki would step forward and explain to me why QT is like Reiki on steroids...I am begining to see the connection between breath and energy and I understand that the QT has a "safety" mechanism (raising their vibrational level) so that they dont get the yuk from their clients....maybe, I simply have a mental block here an am not seeing the forest for the trees.
I find it curious that Reiki's drawing of symbols acutually inhibits it...so, much for tradition. That it is passed from master to master and can be mistransmitted, what safety neat does QT have which insures quality transmission? I thought it was all simply ENERGY we were talking about.
Let us stop using Reiki as a whipping boy (can't say more about it, untill those who have been trained in it step up and joing the conversation)...How is QT different from other modalities (Bruyere, Brennen, TT, HT, Tellington, etc.)
Also, is there no mention of the divine (I presume, silly me, that the energetic source is the divine itsself)?
I find it amazing that with a few strokes of the body and a couple of huff and puffs and one is simply ready to zap the world with radiant energy....my journey is just begining and must be amusing to those way ahead of me....watch out, I'll catch up soon enough!!

Well, from my perspective it is not all smoke and mirrors. Energy follows thought is a pretty standard view of energy work. If you have a mind set that things progress in a certain way then until something else comes along to change this view that is the way that things unfold. For instance it was once thought the sound barrier couldn't be broken, that the world was flat, that the earth was the center of the solar system. These were all views of how everything worked.

You are right that it is all energy, but using/viewing the energy in different ways, causes different results. It's not that the other modalities don't work, they do and many of them wonderfully. The Q-T work is elegent in its simplicity. It also can be enhanced by certain views about how to move energy through your system or about how to let a flow happen in another person.

Life is growth and change. When something new or different is offered, if it is approached with the prospect of possibility then we all get to grow.

Reiki is a marvelous technique. We have found that it is enhanced with the breath and sweep being added.

I used to be a Qi Gong healer. When I found Q-T I was very pleasantly surprised, it was all so simple and incredibly effective. I had spent ten years learning and refining my Qi Gong healing techniques and all that was swept away in about two hours. It's not that the Qi Gong healing techniques didn't work, they do. For me the side effects limited what I could do. Q-T changed all that.

Thanks for reading my 2 cents worth.

The Reiki symbols do not inhibit the energy at all. QT simply has an elegant way of focusing and amplifying the energy. I am confident that the work will be transmitted well from teacher to future teacher because it would be hard for anyone to stray far from the book or videos without people knowing.

Thanks for the 2cents worth...ok, QT is simple and effective...no rituals, no symbols....it boggles me, I must admit, that chi kung and the like arent, well, easier and more streamlined....Is there more on the history of how Bob Rassmusan developed this? What was/is his background?

I do not know how Reiki is taught in the US, but over here, the Reiki Masters charge you an arm and a leg, which is the first thing that puts me off, then there is also this ever present need to create this air of mystery around their healing modality, which gives it a quasi-religious feel, and this is the main reason why I stear clear of it.

My feeling on any of the energy healing arts is that they should be made as accessible as possible to the common man, if it is good and can benefit mankind it should be shared in a manner that is as acceptable to the majority as possible.

For me the main differences then between Reiki and QT are:

a) The simplicity of the QT technique makes it much easier to learn quickly.

b) It is not an expensive modality to learn - for me, even having to fly to Germany to attend a basic workshop was cheaper than attending a Reiki 1 Attunement weekend in Dublin.

c) QT is approached in a very practical, open manner that has no overtly religious overtones that might make some people uncomfortable (I include myself in this category).

d) QT is a transparent modality that combines very well with many other healing techniques and QT accepts the validity of all other healing techniques, whilst providing a means of enhancing any technique it is combined with.

The opinions expressed above are my own personal views based on my experiences here in Ireland. I appreciate that your interpretation of these matters will be different as they are based on a different set of experiences and perspective.

Thank you.

Bob Rasmusson was incredibly intuitive and had the ability to ask questions and receive answers. He enjoyed taking state examinations for the fun of it, just by writing down answers. He had become a licensed structural engineer and a real estate broker. Years ago he told me that he had had a whole stack of professional certifications, but threw them all away. When he wanted to know how to help a child with bowed legs he merely asked the question and received the basic method used in QT.

Robert, I agree with you entirely about the differences between Reiki and QT. Because of my religious views, I do not believe in imposing something that others may find offensive. I don't doubt that Reiki is effective, but it wouldn't work for me because I don't believe you need the symbolisms to access the healing of the body. It is already there because the Creator of the universe put it in us. It's as easy as asking. Thanks for the clear definition. QT is VERY powerful.

I just got my first taste of QT at a sort of "preview" workshop a few days ago. What I got was that it is gentle and powerful. Reiki to me, when I first got my level one and two attunements, was always kind of fiery. I've had a tiny taste of shamanism and that is very, very animalistic and primal. It feels to me that QT offers the same power yet in a more grounded and gentle way.

If you read the experiences of hundreds of people who have studied both Reiki and Quantum-Touch, they have found that QT added a tremendous amount to the intensity and the power of their sessions. However, I'd rather you explore it and come to your own conclusions based on further experience.
