I just finished the quantum touch book and I'm having a difficult time understanding the concept of linking the breath to the energy. Does that mean that you inhale from the part of the body where the energy is flowing? In other words, if I feel the energy in my foot then ankle, I should inhale from the foot area? or does that mean I inhale from my nose and throat and direct the breath to my foot? Richard keeps emphasizing that linking the breath is the key, so I'd like to understand this concept better.

As you inhale, feel/visualize the energy coiming in (from everywhere) through your feet to the top of your head. As you exhale feel/visualize the energy coming down from the head, shoulders, arms, and out the hands into the place you are directing the energy. For example someones knee, if that is where pain is present.

This particular energy flow pattern in the body that QT uses - have you found this specific pattern to be the most effective, moreso than other directional energy flow patterns? I've seen other patterns using other parts of the body, or different orderings, different input points, directions, circuits, cycles, etc., and was wondering if they are all equally effective or not in QT.

Of course there are many styles of energy healing. From the view of putting energy out through your hands, this is the simplest and most easily applied technique that I've run accross in over 30 years of looking. As a former Qigong healer, I must say that QT has no negative side effects and often offers positive side effects, namely when you give a healing you get one.

There could certainly be techniques out there that I haven't tried. In fact there has to be, because there are probably 1000's. You must experiment for yourself. Practice a technique for a while and see what kind of results you get. I personally have tried at least 100 and QT tops them all, at least for me.

As the energy comes out of the hands, does it come out of the chakras in the center of the palms or does it come out of the fingertips or both?

The energy comes out anywhere you bring your attention and can access sensation. You are free to use many variations.

I believe that you can send energy from anywhere you can feel as well, Now this is a bit humerous so bear with me, one night I was giving my wife energy in bed, it was cold so I backed up to my wife for heat, then I got the Idea to send her energy through my butt cheeks Smiler. It did work and my wife flelt it but it requires more concentration. I suspect it's because you have so many more touch receptors in the hands and fingers that if you use them your awareness of the energy will be easier to attain than if you send from a part of your body that has less touch receptors...

Hi, What I find, works best for me is to breath the energy OUT thru my hands, as per QT. but I don't allow it to ceast. On the in-breath, as I scan for new energy, the energy keeps running to the receiver at about 30% level and comes up fast as I breath out!
Works well in Distant Healing!
Happy Healing in 2006

I'd say an experimental and fun approach to QT and any energy work is the best one to adopt. The doubts about 'am I doing it right' are what prevent the process happening, since doubt acts like a big 'NO' to energy running! Even a tiny little doubt is enough to stop it, so generally say 'let's try this and see what happens' rather than 'am I doing this right?' Energy will either run or not, and our bodies are the laboratory we have to experiment in.

Setting an intention to run energy is incredibly effective, and improves every session I've ever done. With distant healing, as discussed in another thread, intention to send healing is sometimes all it takes! It happens even before you've had a chance to breathe and sweep! I don't really feel much sensation when I breathe but I imagine feeling energy moving up my feet etc as in the first exercise in the book/course, and that works fine! If you've felt it once that seems to be enough to work the magic.
