In researching another area of energy healing, I found a reference to the book, The Rainbow In Your Hands, written in 1976 by Albert Roy Davis and Walter C. Rawls, Jr., and ordered it from abebooks.com as it is no longer in print. In addition to this little book, the authors also wrote at least three other books about their experiments with magnets and healing.

In The Rainbow In Your Hands, the authors say that their experiments show the left and right hands having different properties. I found this interesting, since I have seen other people in the QT Forums ask about this and I have also wondered about it. Here is what's in the book:

Left Hand Palm and Right Back of Hand: have North Pole magnetic energy, relieve pain, soothe, calm, sedate over-active energies, relieve stress

Right Hand Palm and Left Back of Hand: have South Pole magnetic energy, give strengh, activate energies, may increase pain in a painful area

Both Hands Together (as in a prayer position): strengthen one's entire system

Davis and Rawls also published studies in 1936 about the energies in the head, with the back of the head corresponding with the South Pole magnetic energy (right hand) and the front of the head corresponding with the North Pole magnetic energy (left hand). In The Rainbow In Your Hands, they talk about how the energies in the head respond to the energies in the hands and say that the right hand on the back of the head and the left hand on the front of the head will reinforce the natural energies of the head and will increase the feeling of strength and well-being in the recipient. The opposite positions make the mind more active, but less calm and sensitive.

I think we QTers are in a great position to further test these ideas (that the authors claim are supported by their experiments).
