after reading the book i tried distant qt on my grandma with cancer and my mom who has an inflated stomach due to her liver. It had no affect on either of them, I don't understand what i'm doing wrong.

I connect the energy sweeps with the breathing and visualize where i want it to go. What more is there?

It seems you are dealing with 2 people who have longstanding chronic conditions. They will respond eventually but it may take many hour long sessions for them to feel a huge difference. I wouldn't give up so easy. Are you also votexing the energy on the way up the legs, down the arms, and out of the hands? This ramps up the energy a lot. You can also inquire where their energy level is at 1-10, 1 being almost no energy, 10 feeling great. Do an hour session and then ask them to rate their energy level afterwards. Do the same with pain levels before and after. You should see some changes this way.

Detachment from outcome is a basic tenet of most healing work, including QT. You are working on loved ones, so this can be an issue. Also, are you "willing" them to heal, or are you standing back and ALLOWING the healing to go to them? Forcing it won't work....allowing it will always be beneficial, but sometimes in ways you may not have expected.

Please try the suggestions already given, and I hope you will have more success; but also bear in mind that in QT healing, as in every other human endeavour, there are those who are very talented, those who are averagely talented and those with hardly any talent. Mostly on this forum you will meet those with above average abilities, and hardly ever those with almost no ability, such as myself.
Practitioners of QT seem loth to admit that some people are unable to do it, however much they attempt it, and little attempt is made to research the subject.
