What does it mean to want certain things or a particular colour? Recently I've been wanting or noticing yellow stuff more. In the supercharging book, I read that being low on yellow means the person may be suicidal? I don't feel that way though Razzer

I think "yellow" for anyone who is depressed, even mildly. I just like the color. Some yellow in one's environment is a spot of cheer, something akin to a "smiley face." Is it a coincidence that smileys are usually yellow???? I think not!

I tell any clients who are feeling low, sad, grieving or depressed to try to put some bright lemony yellow into their environment. Go buy yourself a yellow shirt. Yellow in the kitchen, a few yellow dishes, yellow shower curtain, yellow flowers....just putting that vibration into one's living space is a good thing. I recently made several quarts of preserved Moroccan (Meyer) lemons, and that spot of yellow condiment with a meal just perks it right up! Lemon wedges on the table brighten the food by eye and taste.

In some Native American cultures, Yellow is the sacred color of the South Direction, signifying the fullness of summer...summer golden sunshine, the color of sacred corn, and a symbol of the fullness and plenty of summertime and the bountiful harvest to come. For these, we are grateful.

A yellow slicker seen on a gray rainy day is like a shot of sunshine. A friend of mine for many years (decades?) had an old canary-yellow VW Beetle, and she was as cheery as that car. I notice yellow cars on the road, and have secretly always wanted one.

IMHO, yellow is one of the most powerful and wonderful vibrations. Yes, a little can go a long way, but it is one that I love and seem to need in my environment. My happy-color. I associate yellow with positive things, positive memories, light-heartedness and summer fun.

When I am doing yellow for a client, all of these things are included.

My two cents. Smiler Cool

Thank you for your insights Ali Smiler

I'm just wondering if I am lacking it unknowingly.. but I do generally feel happier these days, so I'm not sure. There are other colours that I suddenly love a lot too, like just before the yellow, it was red. I still like red, but now its more yellow.

I wish I knew how to answer your question about needing a certain color...Perhaps when we feel drawn to a color, or it appeals to us "just because," maybe we do need that vibration at that particular moment in time. Our needs vary from day to day, so go with the flow, and if sky-blue pink or puce polka dots, or any other hue appeals to you, go for it!

I am thankful that I can see all the colors of the visible spectrum, that ability to see is such a great gift.

Colors do have distinct vibrations and are helpful in healing. But they're not just for healing; they are also for enjoying. I wouldn't worry about the colors. Enjoy them instead. Big Grin

Yellow is the color of the solar plexus chakra. The solar plexus is the "bridge" chakra between the below (physical, survival) chakras and the above (Love, spirituality) chakras. When the solar plexus is healthy and balanced, one reaches out to others with love and compassion.

It sounds like you are projecting yellow into your environment so it is coming FROM you rather than you needing to take it in. If you are sunny and happy you will see the same around you - it is the Law of Attraction!

Interesting observation. Thank you for sharing!!!!
