Hi Everyone,
I've been thinking about starting informal group video learning and practicing sessions using the SC and Core I and II books and vids. These would probably dovetail restarting interactive video workshops in my area. Most of the vets here know, but just to make sure all do, I am not a QT trainer or practitioner, but have learned and use the techniques, bought all of the learning materials, attended interactive basic and live SC and CT courses, and I've used QT basic and advanced techniques integrated into my own healing practice for the last 4-5 years. Except for the interactive video training, NONE of what we'd be doing would qualify participants for any kind certification. The sole purpose would be to learn and hone the skills taught on the SC, CT I and CT II videos with the assistance of at least one fairly advanced fellow learner and QTer. Because of this, the cost for the advanced QT get-togethers would be far less (probably in the neighborhood of seventy pounds (100 USD or 85 Euro) per person per informal video learning group to get all the way through the video together. I live in the UK, and these get-togethers would take place in the Cambridgeshire/south Lincolnshire area during the week and West Yorkshire during the odd weekend. I'm not really advertising this here, but canvassing our group (who are all over the planet) to see what you all think of this idea. Do you think enough interest could be drummed up to generate a healthy-size (probably 12 max) group to learn and practice together? I don't believe QTAdmin should mind, as long as it is clear this is not a QT certification workshop and I am not a certified QT trainer or practitioner: just the facilitator of the collective event who can probably offer pointers for those live classes I've attended (SC and CT I). My thought is to help myself and others get a better experience of learning and honing our skills through the videos via live practice, but short of the expertise and official training provided by an advanced instructor. I'd love to get feedback on this idea from you all (QT ADMin too!) before actually trying to set anything up. Blessings, Alfred This message has been edited. Hi Mo,
These would definitely not be classes or training per se (I'm not certified to teach or practice QT): more of a learning group watching the DVDs and a practice group. Of course I can share what I learned at the advanced trainings (it'll all be on the DVDs, but relating it personally often helps), but I will not be trying to be an instructor and I do not visually perceive energy, so none of the value-added Mervin can provide would be there. Even if someone in the group could perceive energy visually (in my mind, the BIGGEST reason to take the advanced trainings now that the books DVDs are out is receiving expert and precise guidance on how to perfect the techniques), the advanced instructors are also vetted and trained by Alain and I think Jody too to teach these skills, so I don't think there can be any meaningful comparison in terms of learning. However, it'll be a lot better than watching the DVD on one's own, and will give people a better idea whether they want to go the next step and take the SC or CT workshop (which I highly recommend! Where are you in the UK? Birmingham, right? Maybe we can find another interested person to give you a lift if it gets off the ground. Blessings, Alfred This message has been edited. Yes,a group to practice Q.T is what i thought & i still say its a brilliant idea....so much better in a group than being on your own wondering if you're doing it right. Watching the dvd is good yes but so much more beneficial if others are watching it with you, sort of questions & answers....it all helps

Hi Alfred,I've been trying to do this for years, just like you said, explaining that I,m not an advanced instructor, it will be free and so.
I gave a workshop last week, and talked with the students about this, to form a group to study the advanced techniques. I was lucky and there are 4 students that speak english and want to join. At last I found pepople with a good english!! But I tod them we are going to do this after they master the basic techniques. We are going to meet for a healing circle every month. My intention is to beguin with supercharging because the book was published in portuguese. I have all the DVDDs, CORE I and II and supercharging. Wilson |

Aloha!
I wanted to respond to these ideas... First of all, thank you Alfred for your enthusisam and support of QT! I see a potential problem here and wanted to give you my feedback. The intent behand the Advanced books and DVD's is to help people explore the Advanced techniques and learn about the advanced techniques. However, we feel that a qualified instructor is needed to guide people into correctly using these advanced techniques. For example, one of my hobbies is flying trapeze! I can watch videos and read books about it but to really learn how to do it, I need to take a class on a trapeze, with an instructor who is qualified to teach it. If I took a class someone who is not qualified, I most likely won't learn how to do the trapeze properly and could possible rik injury! So I feel that if we are advertising study groups with the AWS videos, facilitated by people who are not trained as AWS instructors - that we may be misleading our commununity. So my recommendation would be - Please go ahead and facilitate healing circles using the AWS techniques. But I feel that it could do a disservice to the community if we start holding study circles where people may feel that they can learn the AWS techniques from the study circles - especially if there is a fee involved. The good news is that we have had quite a lot of interest in Advanced instructor training and we are considering this as an future program that we offer through QT. Love & Light Jennifer |

Hi Jennifer,
I appreciate your perspective on this, and understand there may be concerns on the organizations side. I have admit, though, that I find some of what you wrote surprising. I don't think anyone bought any of the DVDs or books with any intention other than to actually learn the techniques, and I'd be taken aback if QT were marketing them with the intention people would just read and watch them rather than actually learn them when the information therein is clearly and seemingly specifically laid out for the latter. It seems to me QT has shown great dedication and transparency in spreading advanced QT through these great books and DVDs! Using myself as an example, I bought the first QT book to check out and try out the techniques; I bought the interactive DVD (VHS cassette at the time)to learn them better; I facilitated two interactive workshops to learn them even better; I attended the advanced workshops to advance my learning further; when they were available, I bought to advanced books and DVDs to reinforce and continue my learning, but I would have bought them without having attended the advanced workshops to check out and learn the advanced techniques to the extent possible. Surely QT intended this in order to reach a wider audience and not just for people who already had the training(?). With regard to a learning and practice group/healing circle (I don't relate to this term as QT uses it, because I used to go to and lead healing circle, and the ones I was involved in were literally people joining hands in a circle), and The only source anyone would be learning from is the books and DVDs themselves, which, as far as I can tell, are intended to teach people the techniques (and they do it well!). If someone who's had the training can clarify some basic points based on what was taught them in the live courses, that really isn't teaching or training, and anyone who's gotten that far will already appreciate the difference between learning from a QT book, learning from a QT DVD, practicing in a group applying the materials, and an actual training with a certified instructor. I see this as a matter of comparing apples and oranges, and I'd plan to present and keep presenting such a group just that light. To put your mind at ease, I will not only avoid any language implying these are any kind of course or training; I will actively promote the courses, because I've been to them, and except for the SC course situation where the teacher was too ill to teach it properly, I found them of great, great value beyond watching a DVD and trying to do the techniques. As far as I'm concerned (and if I have anything to do with it), I can see MORE people going on to the advanced training as a result of practicing in groups. My hope is that this will not only benefit those of us who want to learn and further develop our advanced QT skills, but that QT will realize a net gain from more exposure of advanced QT (increased book and DVD purchases and registration for advanced workshops). As for cost, in my case, I will need to pay for a venue that will hold enough people to make a good number for practicing on each other. And if I am committing to host (better word than facilitate?) such a group, then I'm also committing a considerable amount of my time I could otherwise be using to see clients, spend with my family, or conduct trainings I am qualified to teach for much more money than <$30 per person per day's worth of watching/practicing. Hi Alfred and Everyone,
I realise that your intent comes from a good place, somehow the whole picture of the situation may not have been fully revealed. This may help. Let's look at it this way: Immagine, if you worked really hard to develop a technique, a book and a video and was selling them at a certain price to make it available to people and also trigger their interest so ultimately they would also learn the technique properly and develop self confidence through a group experience by attending a workshop. Now, lets say someone took your work and knowledge and offerred almost the whole package for 2 or 3 times less, how would you feel about it? What would happen to your potential future client base, the one who would attend a workshop with a qualified instructor? Ultimately what would happen to your business if your clients decided because they are short on money, they'd rather learn the technique from a video worshop that is 5 or 6 times cheaper than a live workshop with a qualified teacher and not bother with even buying their own video. Part of the live workshop experience is getting top notch feedback and teaching as well as building self confidence through the group experience. Great for beneficiaries in many respect although they are missing one key ingredient in their QT recipe, great for the person who is making a bit of money from it, but what about your own business? With the economy being what it is in the USA and attendance probably not as high as it used to be, how do you think you'd feel about the repercussions on your business? The motives of spreading the word and making it available to more people are certainly honorable but still, a business needs to be run with certain guidelines to keep it going. The Administration has been very gracefull in their response and I hope this post presents you with a new perspective. The other problem I see is a technique that is not learned correctly becomes diluted and insipide one may eventually conclude it does not work and let it go. Your post serves a purpose, it obviously shows there is a need that needs to be adressed, so thank you for opening the door of a discussion that may result in an even better Qt development. As it is the second time i try to post, i'l try to be brief, more them I always am...I was disconected...
I agree 100% with Alfred, and Isabele, as I said it will be FREE. ADM: What is the point of watching MINE DVDs alone, by myself? How can I do the exercises? Whe need a partner, maybe ADM thinks we can do it in front of a mirror..lol So, my intention is to spread the knowledge at no cost, that way the sudents will have a better performance, this will help to promote QT They would never, ever buy and study the advanced techniques, they do no not intend to be instructors, so I'm helping them, helping me, and helping QT, and some people think I'm doing wrong. I don't understand...Gime me a break. Sorry give us a brake, I'm including Alfred. If the DVDs are meant to people who took the advanced, so they could wacht it again and again so they don't forget, ADM shoul sell it only for those who took the advanced before hand. I think people should read a post at least 2 times before questioning it. Neither Alfred or I said we are Advanced Instructors. We only invited people to wacht the DVDS. PS: I took core I live When I took Core I, I asked Alain if I was doing Supercharging OK. He said yes. So, whe I gather a group to watch MY DVDs, I'm investing my time in QT benefit, more people will improve their results when running QT, and for free. And I never said I was an instructor. The better they perform, better for US, more students for me, more money for US. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Wilson, Wilson |

Hi again folks,
Jennifer and Isabelle, I read and re-read your posts very carefully, and what I'm still left with is this: if the book and DVD were not intended to teach the techniques, they should be reworked so that they don't teach the techniques (I read them and watched them: they really do teach the techniques, and well, and of course not like in a live class with a certified instructor [goes without saying]. Also, I don't think the trapeze analogy fits in this context, unless you really do have knowledge that these techniques are too dangerous for anyone to learn without a live setting and certified instructor, in which case the real risk is in marketing them as self-help materials(an ambulance chasers dream!). This is the issue: once you sell material like this, you lose a degree of control over how people choose to use it. I'm assuming that was all thought through adequately by QT prepublication. The purpose of the book and dvd must be to do something more than simply offer a demo of the advanced techniques, otherwise they should be given out for free as purely advertising for the workshops. They are clearly set up as instructional guides. Now, what good is that to anyone if they do not practice it, and how can you practice the techniques unless you do so collectively? I've made no bones about this: I'm all for QT and the QT organization being a great success, and I have and will continue to promote the techniques, instructional materials, and courses, all of which I think are excellent. Let me put it to you this way: if there were some kind of proviso written across the front that people who buy them should not learn and practice them in groups, because they can't properly learn the techniques that way, who would buy them, and why would QT sell them? The dvds are not cheap, and I don't know about others, but I know I would not intentionally spend that kind of money unless it meant I was going to learn how to do what was being shown me. Granted, one will learn the techniques a heck of a lot better in a class with a certified trainer. So are you saying "Hey buy this $20 book, and why not throw in this $175 video, and oops, by the way, you won't learn how to do what they are talking about unless you take this $700 course"? That would be unethical, and it is not what QT is doing. On the contrary, the stuff is great quality and thorough, and you CAN learn the techniques from them if you buy them; just not AS well as you will by taking the workshop: that's how every method I've ever studied has worked, so it's nothing new. If QT really doesn't want anyone to do this, they shot themselves in the foot by providing such high quality materials. But I really, really think the risks being discussed here are being overblown. When you get a GOOD taste of something good, you want more. for $200 (cost of a book and dvd), I want a damn good taste! If a few more people get interested in taking the advanced course than just me because I'm sharing the video with a group and practicing together with them, then guess what? I think the only problem QT will run into from me is too many people wanting to take the advanced workshops, and if this idea catches on, they'll be downright swamped! One last point, and then I'll stop: The way book and interactive video workshop are set up (instructional, well layed out, and inexpensive) is the reason why QT has grown so fast, and why so many people have moved on to become practitioners and instructors. THE reason. The fact that techniques are great (although they ARE) helps a lot, but is not the reason it's grown so fast. It's because QT made it easy to do. I think this was one of the most wise decisions I've ever heard of (right up there with Gary Craig making EFT free to learn with a pdf ebooklet on his web sight) The argument that people doing this on their own and practicing in groups are going to cut into somebody's business: hmmm. Have I missed something? Wasn't this the whole point of QT and Richard's vision? If that vision comes to fruition as he's articulated it, then we should expect thousands of groups like the one I'm suggesting, and be delighted about it. Alfred, Well done on the explanation. I concur.
Here are some words that appear on the page from the QT Store that describe the products that are for sale there: Energy Mastery Package. Supercharging, Core 1 and 2 at a super-discounted price! This clearly implies .... well.......mastery. The Ultimate Quantum Touch Package. Core Transformation 1 -- A New Way To Heal & Alter Reality Transform yourself & the world changes. How To See & Perceive Energy. CLEARLY any "how-to" is instructional. Share The Gift of Healing. Key word: SHARE Introduce your friends & family to Quantum Touch! (This is what Alfred is talking about, folks.) All these products are intended to be instructional, and the nature of the work itself demands that group practice is necessary. There are practice sessions in EVERY workshop, live and video. Alfred is honest and up-front about his intent and about the fact that to receive credit, one must take the Live Workshop. The videos are wonderful! Without any doubt, they teach. Clearly, that is the intention, to teach. What is wrong with playing with it in a congenial group of people, one of whom has taken the courses? No copyrights are being violated, no laws broken. The materials have been legally purchased. There is only the desire to help, and that includes helping QT by stimulating interest. How many times have we heard Richard & Alain say that we should remain playful in the work, "Play with it and see what happens." Experiment, and tell us what you've learned. Blend it with other things, see how they mesh, or not, and tell us about it. Experiment, try things, have fun. If you want people to learn only in live workshops, (everything else being mere demos,) having only three people in the world who can teach them is going to be self-defeating. Quickly. Very quickly. What if, God forbid, one or more of the Advanced Instructors becomes disabled or worse? There is no backup. The Advanced Workshops are highly touted, but when my Basic students want to find one, they are dismayed that there are so few, & that getting into one is nearly impossible, due to the need to travel to most of them. I hear this all the time. I'm not alone in that. I don't know what to say to them. If an exact wavelength of color is required for the 12-color meditation, what does a partially color-blind person like me do? I intend to have it be correct, and I passed SC with no major corrections, so my simple intention must be working just fine. (I am color blind to some blues, violets, & purples.) Why wouldn't the same method work for anyone? Intend. It shouldn't be that hard. IMHO, Alfred has a good idea, kind and big-hearted man that he is. If you cannot get the advanced class, which is the norm nowadays, do the next best thing. You will actually learn something that will he helpful to yourself and the world. I see nothing wrong with sharing the expense of a meeting-place, as long as that is clearly explained to the participants, what their payment is for. If the videos are not meant to teach, then you're correct, Alfred, there is a big marketing dichotomy. The descriptions go beyond implying that these videos are to help people learn the techniques, the word "mastery" is used at least once. Since getting into advanced classes is so difficult, uncertain and expensive, I think this informal type of gathering & practice is a marvelous idea. As long as there are only three teachers in the world, with nobody else having whatever it takes to teach these skills, (!!!!!) they will go the way of the Dodo and the dinosaurs. The vision will die. If Medicine had that attitude, we would still be in The Dark Ages. The greatest Masters are those who create the most teachers. Getting a live advanced class has become as much an anointing as a learning experience. Hide your light under a bushel, and the world will never see it, a flash in the dark and then....Poof! Gone. I know that's not what Corporate wants to hear, & I am going out on a limb by saying it. But it's the truth. Love to you all...Thanks, Alfred. This message has been edited.
