How do you deal with skeptics?

And if you read about an acquaintance blogging about some mishap and you offer and asked for permission to send energy, but he/she rejects it, saying its not biblical, do you still send it quietly? Or should you not since the person rejected it.

Yes, that's what I thought so too, but I feel rather sad that I cannot help. But I know i have to respect other people too. Just seems such a waste.... especially when the life at stake is an unborn baby...

Yes, a no is a no, but.........I have free will too. Nothing can prevent me from sending a puff of love to an unborn baby, if I choose. It always goes with the caveat that it be for the greatest and highest good for everyone involved. Nobody can tell me who to love. In the case of the unborn child, you are still honoring the wishes of the person you asked, by not sending directly to that person, the mother, in this case, or so I assume. The child is a different person. If you know that the child is in peril, why not?

I do not believe for one mili-second that Higher Power will punish me for sending love to an innocent child.

My two cents.

Hi Ali

Yes your are right you can love what ever you choose to love. The person who has a strong believe in his/her faith shouldn't feel compromised in their choice.
Does your higherself, soul, angels, god, the universe, which ever you chooses force itself onto you?
Nor do I think that a higher power punishes.
In my opinion there is no punishment in the higher realms. We bring it onto ourself.

widdlepuke,
Having thought this through, how can she speak for an unborn baby? Don't answer that, I don't want to hear all the legalities involved.
I am speaking from my OWN heart.

Thank you all for responding...I'm just kind of torn as I really am not sure what to do, now knowing that I can really help make a difference in this kind of situations... I wanted to post in healing requests too, but after that reply from the mother's sis, I thought it is not nice to do that... but again, I'm not sure.. so in the end, I just thought I'd pray in the usual way...I was thinking, no matter what, it is God's will, and there is probably a reason for whatever is happening.

I didn't think about sending it directly to the little baby instead... zen, ali, thanks for that insight..einar, thank you for your opinion, I respect that too...that we should not cause our neighbours to stumble..

ok I am blabbering.. cos I really feel quite affected... the situation is that acording to the doc, once the baby is born he/she would not live more than 40 days upon delivery(I have no other info). And what got me mad is also that she says she's never seen a miracle, so is asking God for one now. But in my heart, I'm going like hey, every day IS a miracle. Being able to see, hear, touch, taste. Every flower, bug, creature, sunset, sunrise, IS a miracle. Just being alive IS a miracle. So there. I'm glad there's a QT board here, if not I think I might just get depressed from all this Razzer

sorry for the rant.

Hi Widdlepuke,

While reading the responses to your post, an idea came to mind.

You are concerned about the baby, and I would be too. No matter what the parent might have said.

That said, why not put a "blanket" of energy around the mother and the baby, not touching, but if the mother happens to move, she would walk into it? Roll Eyes

That way no matter what, the baby will receive the energy. And of course, do it with the highest
outcome in mind. Might help the mother a bit too,, Razzer

Works for lawyers, when they word things a certain way, so why not. I sure would/"am" Big Grin

Free will allows the choice to accept that which is offered. The mother has the right to refuse any energy offering; so does the baby.

Hi...

This reminds me of a story from a reiki site. A pregnant woman was told by her ob that her baby would be borne with anencephaly (without a brain, or severe brain deformation) and would not survive long after birth. She went to her reiki circle and they began doing healing circles on her, every week (if not daily) for the remainder of her pregnancy. She delivered a very healthy baby. NEVER GIVE UP HOPE, ALWAYS GIVE ENERGY (LOVE) A CHANCE. The doctor and mother are only going on what science can tell them, that there is no hope. We of course know that isn't always the case. I agree with Ali, that giving QT is giving love. Giving love is always OK! Smiler

We love and offer healing for the highest and best good. Everything is always in Divine Order. However we all have free will and choice, to choose life and health or not. Offering to the wee one is certainly not wrong.

Although not the same I went through a greater good experience with my daughter.

Some time ago I called a mystic regarding my spiritual development and we ended up talking about my disabled daughter which seemed to be a theme at the time as apparently she is quite an evolved spirit.

Anyway to cut a long story short without asking for my permission the mystic took upon herself to heal my daughter of a negative entity that apparently was holding her back. Not the sort of healing as in QT sense but more like an exorcism. Since then my daughter physical development has really changed and moved on in many ways.

But this is not necessary a good thing. She is disabled she is totally dependent on us for all her needs. Whereas before she was a fragile, light, underweight 6 year old and more like a large baby she is now a more sturdy and heavier 9 year.

We are currently modifying our house with a hoist so with can bath and move her around. She has Rhett Syndrome and can’t talk or communicate and is basically kept alive by a cocktail of different medications that keep her stable.

In nature she probable would not have survived past the age of three.

So when this mystic did the clearing I suppose it was for the greater good but every time I hear that phase I always think - well for whose greater good.

I hope that I don’t come across as bitter. I love my daughter and she has taught me so much and I wouldn’t be on this site if it wasn’t for her. But sometimes I wonder how happy she is stuck in that body that is going nowhere and it upsets me when bits of it keeps failing for whatever reason.

Yes I know its part of her journey but its been a hell of a journey for the whole family over the past 9 years.

Anyway if the mystic had asked for my permission I probably would have said yes anyway.

I personally have had a few run-ins with skeptics of the biblical side of the balance myself...I've offered energy, been refused the opportunity to offer what assistance I can based on it being "non-biblical."

So I simply say "I offer up love and prayers for you/your situation." And I let go, and let God. Wink
