Healing in The African Bush (1)
I have just been to Mashatu Game reserve 700 kms north of my hometown Gaborone in Botswana, for the weekend and although we only had 2 nights and 1 full day there, the time seemed to expand and it felt much longer. Being in the bush was wonderful and on the 3 game drives that we went on I managed to send lots of distant healing. It was magical to be surrounded by the beautiful African bushveld and be allowed right up close to an elephant family drinking in the river and to be able to sit and watch 3 lions languishing in the heat of the day under a bush not more than 10 meters away from our open game vehicle. We saw a baby elephant who is two weeks old and protected constantly by the adults in the herd. This baby’s birth was witnessed the previous set of guests who were on a game drive and had written about it in the visitors book. Back at our beautiful bush lodge, I gave a full QT session to one of our friends, who was there with us and who has been struggling with a piercing pain on his shoulder joint. As it is a chronic condition it will need more sessions, but the fact that he let me work on him at all was thanks to the relaxing atmosphere we were in and the magical nature of the place. It seems to open minds and make people more accepting of alternative ways of thinking. I will always regard this special place as my healing home in the bush, as it is where we took our adult son 2 years ago when his jaw was broken right in half in an assault. We spent 5 days there then and I managed to keep his pain and swelling at bay with the help of QT sessions every day after he had had the op, which necessitated a metal plate to hold the 2 sides together!!. How QT has enriched my life!!! I literally could not live without it. I use it virtually every day with clients and friends and family and long distance to try and be of help to people on the other side of the world far away from where I live. To those people who were so wonderful sending healing to our little friend Kristen when she was bitten by a hyena, you will be interested to know that she and her family frequent this place often. She is doing so well and has just had an expander balloon inserted under her healed skin in order to stretch it so that a new ear can be constructed. Interestingly a few days before we arrived a rabid hyena had had to be shot as it was terrorizing the camp area and it had attacked a washing machine and destroyed an iron in the laundry area. Africa is not for the feint hearted but living here is oh so rewarding and exciting!!! I will post some photos (as a slide show) we took whilst we were there (aah the wonders of digital photography) to give readers some idea of the beauty of the African bush that I am so privileged to live so near to. It will be in a following post. This has become rather long for which I apologise, but hopefully it has been interesting. Lots of love and light Wendy "Expect miracles" |

Busy trying to post them on this thread but it's taking an awful long time. The pics may be too big and may have to be made into smaller files when hubby comes home.
Thanks Nancy love wendy "Expect miracles" |

Hi Wendy,
I love your pictures! And I envy you and Spencer being able to go to the bush like that. I used to go out in nature a lot back in the states, quite a few states. Loved it. Have been in nature a bit here in Rio also, to the rain forest above our city of Tijuca, but need to do it more often, and for longer periods. Namaste, Dennis |

You paint a wonderful picture with your words Wendy. I almost felt like I was there. But still looking forward to the photos.
Not long-winded, with all the different things you spoke about, not long-winded at all. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Christina Blessings, Love and Laughter, and Big Warm Hugs |

Thank you kindly for your comments, Christina, Dennis and Nancy. Wish could all have been there. Wouldn't it be lovely to have a QT gathering in a place like this?
Lots of love Wendy "Expect miracles" |
