Hi, Julie. There shouldn't be any significant issue with mixing acupuncture and QT with my only warning being that running energy into or over top of the needles themselves is inadvisable. Been there, done that and it's not a comfortable experience.

I am acupuncturist and have not noticed a problem using QT with acupuncture. In the beginning I used basic QT, as that's all there was, but now I mostly use Core techniques. I do tend to do them as two separate parts, doing QT on the body around or in between the needles, or beforehand. Sometimes I will focus my QT on specific acupuncture points or meridians, but that's usually in a QT session where I'm not using needles at all. That said, I sometimes focus Core Steam Release technique as I insert a needle if the point feels sticky or resistant.
